Re: Olise being sold for £8m?

I know Sky were saying last night that they understand there is a release clause but I'm still dubious until proven otherwise. Have to say I would never have had agreed to a release clause for a young player who had not yet broken into the first team to any effect. Crazy to do so. Release clauses a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swansea City (a) sponsored by a no pressure game

CountryRoyal Terrific point. A bit fortunate but will take that allll day long. One game closer to getting Joao back.

MOTM Raphael.

Swift has to start next game, we were actually competitive and arguably the better team when he came on.

+1

The ref gave us nothing, but we have Rafa to thank for that point

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (a) sponsored by injury problems

Has Rafa ever saved a shot from outside the area? Esteves given him too much space. Playing three weak dwarves upfront and giving them acres of space in the middle of the pitch. Totally disorganised. This is poor management. You set up the team like this with players out of position and playing a '...

Re: Back to the Mad Stad

Watford are doing a ticket ballot https://www.watfordfc.com/news/ticket/news-ticket-ballot-open-for-december-matches Ticket ballot for each game from those season ticket holders who paid the retainer and want to attend IMO would be the best approach. I believe that was what Atlanta Utd were doing i...

Re: BFS - Bristol City (H)

First half organised and compact. City didn’t have a single shot. Second half we ripped them apart with some absolutely delightful football. The back four were all excellent. I’m not worried about Holmes not being creative. We have more than enough creativity further up the field. He looks really s...

Re: Back from whatever that was.

It seems that all the critics were right, we shouldn't have been getting all those goals and we'd not cope with going behind. We missed chances, leaked soft goals from defensive mistakes then really didn't look up for fighting to get back into the game.

paultheroyal Forest

If any club will feel at home and be unaffected by playing in an empty stadium with no atmosphere it’s Reading to be fair.

This made me lol, we are so tinpot.

Although if they look at our recent home record with crowds it's abysmal.

Re: BFIT - Wycombe (H)

As others have said, a truly crap first half. We were dragged down to their level. Second half was better but only a bit. Saved by a long punt forward and a great bit of skill from Joao The subs did make a difference but that was also because Wycombe stopped playing spoiling tactics and tried to sco...

This is terrible, this is the first game I've watched live this season and we look like relegation fodder.

We'll lose this to a set piece or penalty.

Re: England - the future....

I'd always thought that England home games had to be on free to air, but it turns out this nations league let them sell the rights separately and avoid showing it for free. Anyway I'm not reading too much into it, Belgium seem to ease off after we got ahead and de Bruyne went off. A very strange sub...

Re: England - the future....

Bloody awful. If Chilwell is unwell, surely Saka deserves a chance? We're so imbalanced. Mount over Grealish on current form is criminal; I'd suggest community service and fine as a minimum. Dier is shit and surely Coady deserves to play. 3 CBs with Henderson and Rice ahead had resulted in sideways...

Re: Football - The Covid Years

The main problem is the PFA and players contracts. The clubs are lumbered with players on contracts they can't afford to pay and a government who doesn't want to step in and fund that with tax payers money whilst at the same time stopping clubs from receiving gate receipts. It's a mess that looks li...

Re: BFTifollow - Derby

I didn't watch on ifollow but have just seen the highlights, they couldn't muster anything to show for Derby so it looked like we completely dominated chances. Joao could of had a couple more and Swift missed a sitter. When I saw the team I thought it looked like our strongest, and I like that we no...
