Re: Jamie Cureton sets record

Have been trying to think of any players that might come close to his record and the only one that comes to mind is Grant Holt.

Re: England - the future....

How anonymous was Mason Mount last night by the way? People bang on about Barkley not deserving a place in the side, but if Mount is the alternative I don't see how anyone could make an argument for Mount based on his England appearances to date. He's obviously still young and inexperienced, and is...

Re: England - the future....

Foden should be ahead of all the aforementioned young midfielders. Still too early for Foden. Next season, when he replaces David Silva , we will see whether he is up to it. Only because he’s not getting game time. If he was at Chelsea he’d be playing and probably be a starter for England I suspect...

On the matter of booing did others hear it directed at Gomez when he came on as sub?
Priceless.

Re: England - the future....

Surely it is good for the players to resolve differences though? From the Sterling statement it would appear that they had words and then left it alone. I can only think there is a bit more to this i.e something physical happened that Sterling instigated, this would probably warrant being dropped. ...

Re: England - the future....

It seems Sterling has gone off on one and grabbed Gomez by the throat in a confrontation in the canteen as a spill over from their on-pitch tussle on Sunday. Sterling has been dropped for the next game as a result. Just when the squad was seemingly quite settled with a good atmosphere! Talk of him ...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

One other thing-Sterling. In recent days there has been talk of him going to Real Madrid, earning something like £500,000 per week and now being almost up there with Messi and Ronaldo in ability. Really? I know yesterday was a difficult game for him but considering he had a lot of the ball, especia...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

The scousers have been lucky with injuries and decisions. A full strength City side would probably have one that. The back up defenders for City are not as good. Stones for example was and is, dreadful. Lucky with injuries? They've had their £50m+ goalkeeper out inured for half the season so far an...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

These games between top clubs can be dull and cagey games but today was good to watch-even people like Keane and Murinho enjoyed it. I have been saying for some time that this is a powerhouse side with a great work rate plus some tremendously skilful players. The only question as I see it is whether...

Re: BFTG - Luton

Add me to the Swift love-in. On days like that you can see how much players with classy backgrounds like Swift and Ejaria enjoy playing together as they are so aware of where each other is on the pitch. A very good performance on a day when fans were bound to get wet at some stage and I feel for Roy...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

Thats just weird. Some people just like to go to football and I did mention that he is Irish. And pay for a season ticket at a club that he doesn't like, who are in the premiership? That isn't "just going to football". What does the fact he's Irish have anything to do with it? Oh dear-joi...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

Hating both teams doesn't make you neutral, it makes you biased against both teams. But both teams can't lose so neutral is a good enough description as being neutral means that you don't care about the result. Pedant. Not caring about the result doesn't mean you'll judge the players or perf...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

This. It would be like me going to watch a game between Swindon and any Neil Warnock managed side. A traditional rival and a team I just don't like. Would you go though? If I was given a free ticket and had nothing better to do, possibly. Why did your SiL go to the Bournemouth v Man Utd game...

Re: Sone Aluko to China!

We should do everything to shift in Jan, even if it's free.....however if we're stuck with him he may as well be around the squad. He had shown his quality throughout his career before joining us. He's clearly a confidence player who was at the club in the dire Gourlay era. I wouldn't say I expect ...

Re: The Non - League thread

Burnham 1-0 Windsor Having followed Mick Woodham’s Windsor all over the South and West of England (and to Stockton) over the last few years, I can’t see me driving distances to watch this team. The pitch at Burnham is (and has been for the 10 years I’ve been going there) a terrible place to play fo...
