Re: How many Managers have you been through ?

not quite true, though. It was behind the Town End. I am 100% sure of this. Luxy, the mists of time must be fogging your memory. If the concrete car park - and it latterly had a rather fetching tarmacadam coating - was behind the Town End it would have engulfed the back bogs, gardens and half the f...

Re: 3 G pitches

Watching Oxford City`s FA Cup match tonight, it`s struck me how good artificial pitches are these days. I believe Bracknell, Ascot and Basingstoke have them and Reading City will be next to get one. No one seems to have any problem staying upright on it tonight. 4G. They are certainly great for the...

Re: How many Managers have you been through ?

I spent many an afternoon with Ian Branfoot and family as they lived in Tadley and i was in his daughters class at school. I got to spend a day release at the club in 86 i think it was to see how the club operated for a school project. Ian picked me up outside the Hurst School. That day, the team w...

Re: The Non - League thread

Round up of the w/e's games Saturday 12th September FAC Preliminary Round …plenty of STEP03/04 clubs shocked in a big way – it may shows that preparation is everything and would seem a fair few of the higher level clubs at this stage, came in woefully undercooked; - some fairly astonishing scores b...

Re: Rumour: Howe out

Would be a shame to lose Bowen as he has done a decent job. However, if the approach from the owners is literally boom or bust for promotion they need to appoint the right man to get us up and have one chance at doing it. IMO there are three candidates that have been there and done it - Hughton, Ho...
