Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (h)

A statement win. Went toe to toe against one of the top sides in League 1, who boast one of the best strikers and possibly the most creative midfielder in the division and not only won but we also kept a clean sheet. The 2 week break before Orient will be good in order to give key players a much nee...

Re: Half season review

In summary, we started poorly, the owners got rid of the manager and under the new manager, the team have improved and are on an upward trajectory.

Conclussion? The owners made the right call in replacing Noel with Leam.

Re: Rival Watch

This Division is so tight, that any team (bar Port Vale who despite yesterdays win look doomed) that strings 3 or 4 wins together are right into the play off mix...the squad depth is going to be key going into the 2nd half of the season; you could see Burton were struggling with their injuries on NY...

Re: Record Watch 25/26

Maybe one for General Football, but do you think Derby fans have a similar thread on their forum which they're excitedly updating right now? I would imagine so! :D Wolves do look incredibly poor; they have the smell of a team already relegated and frankly, the only reason I can fathom for Rob Edwar...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (h)

I can't imagine - unless there are injuries - for Leam not to start with the same starting 11 as beat Blackpool.

Marriott - if fit - would be on the bench and maybe, depending on circumstances, come on for a 10/15 minute run towards the end of the game.

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

I know the gap to Hearts is now 8 points but seems a bit early to throw in the towel by Rogers there. Dermot Desmond's statement from the club regarding his departure basically says "Fcuk off, you arrogant pcunt". Unfortunately, his conduct and communication in recent months have not refl...

Femi Azeez doing really well at Millwall; has played 7 games this season and has 4 goals and 2 assists, including the winner v. Leicester in their last game, and a great header for their first the game before v QPR.

Mid Sussex Royal https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cx2l0m355k3o

Dellor's take on things - has a real problem with the new owners and the last paragraph is childish.

That final paragraph is beyond cringe; I cannot believe that, re-reading it, Dellor isn't thoroughly embarrassed by his words.

Re: Hunts gone

Today I have made the decision to terminate the contract of First Team Manager Noel Hunt. This is a difficult day for everyone at Reading Football Club. As I said recently, football is a performance-based business and while we have seen moments of progress this season, results have not reached the l...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

There is no way we would have had pages and pages of an after game forum discussing the minutia of the ref's performance if she wasn't female!

Re: Opposition fans back from the game - 24/25 page 225 onwards

We should play "Opposition Fan Bingo"; see all your old favorites such as: "The ref was sh1t" "Our striker couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo" "How lucky was Player X not to get sent off" "We have no Plan B" "How does X get a game ahead of Y...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

Solid and deserved win. Northampton are no mugs; Nolan has them very well organised and they had a threat with Fornah and Wheatley all night. A clean sheet was excellent, and that stemmed from a really confident performance from Stevens in goal (whose distribution was intelligent and created opportu...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (a)

Obviously we are going to have to start converting those chances in order to win games, but as most people before the game were expecting an easy Cardiff win (which this wasn't) maybe they should try to park their confirmation bias for 5 minutes and acknowledge that the team is getting better, they ...

Re: FA Cup 2025-26

Is this fixture now definitely confirmed for 15.00 on the 1st, and when do you think they will have the tickets for sale (my daughter is over here from Australia at that time and I'm planning out her activity). TV Fixtures haven't been picked yet but there's no way they're picking our game. The TV ...

Re: Which team have we had the most memorable matches against?

4 individual games that stand out for me on a personal level: Reading 4 - Plymouth 3 (1985??); 3 goals down and we come back to win 4-3; 40 years on and it still gives me goosebumps! Reading 2 Wigan 1 (2001 Play Off Semi Final, 2nd Leg); it wasn't just the significance of the game, or the manner in ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (a)

Was speaking to a couple of Exeter fans at the end of last week, and they think Wareham has been doing ok for them so far (though the less said about his Father, who has been publicly moaning about the Manager not playing Jaydon enough, the better!)

Re: MATCHWATCH : MK Dons (h)

What I find strange* is that a large % of those fans who say that this is a nothing competition they couldn't care less about, are the same fans who reached for the razor blades and paraquat because we lost to Swindon in an earlier game, and are now moaning loudly because we didn't win "convinc...
