Expected comment from Joe Jacobsen but interesting his head has popped above the parapet.

EFL Awards

No Reading players in the team of the year. Bit surprised Tyler Bindon didn't get any recognition. League One awards: Manager of the season: Chris Davies (Birmingham) Player of the season: Richard Kone (Wycombe) Young player of the season: Richard Kone (Wycombe) Apprentice of the season: Jake Richar...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

Seeing a few Carlisle fans wishing us dead on x. I am not sure how it works, but if we get expelled before June would they keep their place in the EFL? Personally, I’d never want another club to die, but I do kind of get their motive. Yes, having pulled clear of Morecambe they would get a reprieve,...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2024/25

Good game and unlucky to lose by the odd goal. Bit more clinical and could have won it.
Thought Source looked good at left back, Bowdrey stood out in midfield.
Hope some of these kids can progress in the next few years

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

My summary: - The EFL is fully aware of how disastrous it would be for themselves and English football in general if they were to kick a club Reading out of the league. - Allowing uncertainty about which team will be in which league next season, is a big problem, but nowhere near as big as the abov...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

Best result for you know who too, do what he ******* well should have done last September and get rid of another possible expensive failure in court in June as well. Let’s all hope that Rob’s PR in recent weeks is all truthful, honest heart on the sleeve stuff. Certainly will be great to have an ow...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

Some parts of the statement hint at the EFL's plan of action Why 22nd April and not 5th May? Somebody earlier said that the EFL will need to vote on a suspension, so they probably need to get their ducks in a row before hand. None of this mess gets resolved in the next 3 weeks, the EFL know that, s...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

Terrific post from Traff on the previous page. I was at many of those events, despite not having lived in Reading since 1981. One minor error, though - the away game at Newport was the 12th straight win, the 13th was Lincoln away, IIRC. You are quite correct Sir, I missed that one but what a great ...

I am afraid, that as usual, the silence is deafening. Standard MO from the toad and its spawn I have never thought that he is going to sell and have unfortunately not seen anything to change that view. Re: Northampton (A) Saturday 12th April

Anyone received their tickets for this yet? My Mansfield tickets have arrive but not these Both have arrived. Annoyingly now you can’t buy 2 different set of away tickets in the same transaction so it’s a £4 booking fee rather than £2, would like to hear the rationale behind that. To make more money?

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

Any idea if the sale has to be confirmed or to have actually gone through and be completed by the last date (i.e. just before the AGM, assuming this is correct)? I've lost track. I think no one will believe it's real until Dai has signed a contract. Until then, no one can trust anything he says and...

Think Abrefa has done well in the last two games but why does Noel keep insisting on swapping him with Garcia on the left.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (h)

Yep. Wrexham are big, organised, physical and used to winning. Plus we're 8 unbeaten and not playing brilliantly, with a patchwork squad. Hunt's miracles have to end sooner or later. Hope to see: Pereira Abrefa, Stickland, Bindon, Yiadom/Kanu Wing Knibbs, Savage Campbell, Ehibhatiomhan Wareham Butt...

H-T 0-0 Reading 1 Liverpool 0 Booth 62 mins 2-0 Osho 70mins 3-0 Coke-Miles-Smith 74 mins F-T 3-0 The result of the other semi was Derby 1 West Ham 3. As far as i know the final is NOT 2 legged so presumably played at West Ham or Reading- we are above West Ham in the PL U 18 South table so we should...
