Re: Fixtures 2025/26

So, no Reading call ups from Tuchel. Does that mean the Northampton game wont be moved

Re: Garath McCleary

If S Hunt had the average foot size of a typical Hobbit, he would not have missed that open goal at home to Everton and history would have played out so very differently

Re: The Local Journo Thread

James Earnshaw is leaving the Chronicle with Saturday his last match. No replacement as yet, job advertised now if anyone is interested. Doesn't say where he's going but has a new job and sounds like he's staying local. He’s got a job at the club… Apparently he resigned 3 months ago but saw someone...

Re: Confimred - Matt Ritchie

Would assume this signing puts the whole Josh Bowler saga to bed. Guess he is happy to play reserve football and pick up decent money. Think I am right that we have 1 more loan space available for matchdays. What would the last one be used for, big lump of a number 9 or do we settle until Jan? Break...

Re: MATCHWATCH : AFC Wimbledon (h)

morganb Do you think we will go with a stronger team or stick with the Cup squad that has got us this far?

Or has our "cup team" proved stronger so far?

Re: Confimred - Jack Marriott

Nothing wrong with the Marriott signing - knows the division, can score goals and can be a right pain in the arse up top. If, as Brogue, intimates we are still looking for a bigger forward to compliment Marriott and MOM then we should end the window with decent options up top. I see him more as a r...

Re: Confimred - Jack Marriott

I think Supporters often place too much emphasis on transfer fees, when in reality the true figures are rarely disclosed publicly. While I acknowledge the need for caution under an owner like DY, Rod and Todd have not shown themselves to be extravagant spenders. Perhaps Marriott cost slightly more t...

Re: Speculationish Tyler Robert’s and Jack Marriott

Going the other way wasn't Keith Curle a winger before forging a career as a CB ?

Dion Dublin played both roles well too IIRC

If Seddon is playing he will again be very wary of the SCL snippers.
In fairness, we shouldn't joke about someone who was raised in an area where violence and gun crime are commonplace, Twyford

Re: Nathan Ferguson

I notice that Ahmed is not mentioned in the talk about centre backs.
Looks like a potential Mbengue replacement to me and I believe he thinks of himself as a centre back playing right back.
Maybe a little early but like to see him play there in one of the cup games.

Re: MATCHWATCH : AFC Wimbledon (h)

Ffs why is this game 7pm. Anyone know? My theory is that it’s school holidays. I think it’s an attempt to allow kids to go to the game without it getting too late, although that would be impacted by reduced numbers able to get back from work in time for kick-off. Same reason all disruption to fixtu...

Encouraging to see that we are imprinting the same playing profile through all age groups at the club.
Makes it so much easier for the youngster to transition to the first team

Re: Hunt out.

I find this suggestion that he doesn't know what he's doing tactically laughable. He's got a UEFA Pro license. Whilst it's no guarantee of success, it does mean that his tactical awareness will be better than 99% of us on here. Of course, we're fans, and we're entitled to our opinions and interpret...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (a)

Maybe a change of formation to 5-2-3 which is Spurs favored formation in the past. *****Perieira***** Abrefa Burns Williams Dorsett Jacobs Wing Elliot Lane MOM Doyle I guess the key to this formation is the two wing backs in Abrefa and Jacobs both of which are better wing backs than full backs. The...
