Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (h)

under the tin Today I'm getting kind of echoes of the play off season under Stam.
I can remember walking away after the games back then thinking "how did we win that?"

If only!

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (h)

WTF! Lane in the starting line up again. Just how poorly does he need to"play"before getting dropped. Surely there can't be a level lower than he has already achieved. I guess Leam just loves players who constantly pass the ball backwards or the opposition! That confirns it for me, will wa...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

I think Lane is suffering from low confidence at the moment - maybe he needs a bit of motivational booing? But seriously, I think there is a good player in there but at the moment he's not playing well and his decision making is poor ... but I live in hope. He was definitely rated at Pompey. I thin...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

“Turgid” is the word that comes to mind watching this team. It really feels like we are being turned into a yo-yo northern club, à la Rotherham, bouncing between League One and the Championship while playing boring, attritional football. Personally, I would rather see us play attractive football an...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

We could make six or seven changes and I’m not convinced our away performances would suffer at all. Yes, Northampton was a win, but we were still awful. If that feels excessive, I’m open to trialling a training cone instead of Lane. JP Yiadom Ward Burns Dorsett Young Fraser Roberts Wing Marriott WiF...

Re: Play-off/relegation watch.

Just not good enough for a top six finish. After the last three away games, I really don’t see what we are trying to achieve. I am doubting the desire and belief and genuinely have no idea what the overall strategy is. There are too many square pegs being forced into the wrong holes. Looking ahead t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wimbledon (a)

What on earth Wing was playing at today I don’t know. Gesticulating and shouting at the away fans after a tackle, then busy cupping his ear instead of doing his job and defending in the last minute of the first half. Sort it out. I didn’t hear what was being said, but if it was criticism, tough. Tha...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wimbledon (a)

Looks like only the second League one match for the ref (apparently younger brother of Everton's Leighton Baines)
Hope he is not another Mug referee, too weak to handle the Wimbledon players constant Shit housing.
Really hope we beat these after their appalling antics in the home game.

Re: Kadan Young

Played for Villa v Salzburg last week and assisted winning goal. Think I’ll check out the highlights. Trust he’ll offer what I think we all thought Doyle would be offering. Who's to say he's any better? Time will tell I suppose, seems we could end up with a surplus of loan players we don't want The...

Re: The window closes at 7pm on Monday 2nd February

With DK looking as though he will be out for an extended period, that could have accelerated the decision to try and sign Lisbie in this window.
Garcia sale would have helped too.
