Re: England - the future....

Yes, and he will continue to score goals if we continue to play him. But we won’t win anything. I’m just asking the question as to whether there might be a way of shuffling the pack that would get more out of the collective resources at Tuchel’s disposal so we COULD potentially take that next step ...

Re: England - the future....

I don't have any agenda, I looked at the figures which seemed to show a drop off in form but realised I miscalculated when papes pointed it out and put my hands up to making an error. However, he is 32, the rest of the squad is relatively young and should be around for the next 6-8 years so England...

Re: England - the future....

There will of course be a clamour to bring Bellingham back but I think he disrupts the balance of the team. Agreed, and, good though he is, he's got far too much billy big bollocks attitude these days. To me it's the old Lampard/Scholes/ Gerrard conundrum again. How do you accommodate all three. Si...

Well, that was very good.

An England performance to enjoy!

Anderson is so good for the team - very impressive.

Re: England - the future....

Well so far Tuchel has brought almost nothing positive to England, except a slightly higher level of honesty about performance and expectations. Who knows what is said behind closed doors but he seems agitated, every game, that the players aren't carrying out his instructions. Seems odd, maybe he's ...

Re: England - the future....

Rashford. Why?

Lewis Skelley. FTLOG, can you just ONCE pass the ball forward to someone rather than give it back to Burn?

Re: Weekend Football

Martinelli has offered very little for a long time now - was surprised to see him start.

If he starts Trossard in front of Eze next week that would be really funny - wouldn't put it past him though.

Re: Weekend Football

I think Gyokeres looks like he'll be good but Arsenal have played for so long without a centre forward they don't really know how to bring him into the game.

The excellent goal he did score last week was all his own work.

Re: Weekend Football

So frustrating. Clearly the better team but it’s always safety first. Same old…. Arteta is becoming the PL’s equivalent of Southgate in international football. Excellent manager in many ways but his approach to the big games means he just isn’t going to be a winner. There was a “statement win” to be...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Following a 1-1 Europa League draw with United in October where Mourinho was sent off, he said he wanted to manage a team "at the bottom of the table in England" after leaving Fenerbahce so he does not have to play in Uefa competitions.

West Ham it is then.

Winston Biscuit
Royal Rother Probably naive of me to even suggest it, but whatever his failings, he seems like a decent man of principle and I do wonder whether Amorim will do “a Rooney” and just walk away without compensation

he did say a while back that if he left he wouldn't take any compensation

Probably naive of me to even suggest it, but whatever his failings, he seems like a decent man of principle and I do wonder whether Amorim will do “a Rooney” and just walk away without compensation. Hard to argue with (spit) Andy Goldstein’s take on it that he looked and sounded “weak and pathetic” ...

Indeed, but it’s a striker we really need.

Where’s the next Owen or Rooney?

(And when we do get one, can we keep them fit for a decade please?)
