Re: The Non - League thread

Copied from FB non league group.... On nights like this , the trials and tribulations of your football team are irrelevant. Tonight I went to Rayners Lane FC to watch a Middlesex Premier Cup 2nd round tie between St Panteleimon and Cockfosters reserves. Nothing untoward happened in the fist ha...

Re: The Non - League thread

Apart from following Reading and supporting Windsor, being a glutton for punishment I also watch all my son’s games in adult Sunday League... best / worst (whichever way you look at it!) of Sunday football today with Match abandoned in the 2nd half after a massive punch up. We have a number of trave...

Re: The Non - League thread

Windsor v Westfield tomorrow is a bit of a cover-your-eyes prospect... All I can say is that I felt the Team we fielded last week looked a little more balanced and, dare I say it, capable than has been the case most of the season. Last week’s 3-3 at lowly Ardley Utd was largely down to 2 howlers fr...

Re: The Non - League thread

AthleticoSpizz Are W&E going for the ‘most fielded players in a season’ record RR?

Well, it’s not W&E of course, but I think we are over 50 players used now. We won’t beat the incredible 92 we fielded in the (not so) new club’s 2nd season after all the players who were there for the money left.

Which is why if VAR is available it should be used.

Thanks for underlining my point.

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

To have achieved what he did at Spurs with minimal investment (comparatively) marks him out as a superb manager.

He got things wrong for sure, playing Kane in the CL Final being a biggie, but he is bright and humble enough to learn from them.

He would be ideal for Man Utd.

Re: VAR

Think it’s ridiculous and completely unfair that only some FA Cup games get VAR and others don’t. Just let it go Let’s just hope we don’t get an away Prem draw! Isnt a big part of cup competitions the unlevel playing field? Not from a refereeing perspective. Completely agree with URZzz different ru...

Why is it unfair?

Who gains / loses any advantage as a result of only some games having VAR coverage?

Re: Ade Williams

Ady giving it large about VAR being used at FA Cup games hosted by PL clubs but not at others, and Tim and Mick in complete agreement. Sorry, but this is just dumb bollocks. Regardless of the shite way it is being used over here, it is completely illogical NOT to use the technology where it is in pl...

Re: VAR

Is VAR showing how bad our referees are?. Anthony Taylor had 2 of his crucial decisions overturned the other day and now at Anfield yet another. Er, two actually It is utterly ridiculous that players are being called offside because they have a hand in an offside position. This is just the sort of ...

Re: VAR

Thing is, the “coming back from offside position” seemed to be what the ref signalled when he overturned the goal. Yet another poor outcome from a VAR review. Not saying it is wrong because that’s what the technology reports but it’s just so bad for the game when it is that tight and there is no mar...
