Definitely sped-run it compared to how we went. I cannot remember all the circumstances, but weren't we docked points for late payments of wages (I think we were for late payments to HMRC)? If so, why have Weds not been hit yet? There was this statement at the start of August https://www.efl.com/ne...
Great draw !!! Reading v Bracknell Eligible players for this seasons comp must have been born on or after 1st September 2007 and before 1st September 2010 And now everyone feels old. Indeed - I've only just got used to players being born from year 2000 onwards.... I've never got over Neil Webb bein...
The next league club going south is Barrow. Also Cumbria's only league club at the moment. Just because they aren't a huge club doesn't mean you can discount them from existing. Morecambe however are also non-league, got relegated with Carlisle last season. Yep, but I'd specifically mentioned them ...
Wednesday, predictably, following our well-trodden path. Sheffield Wednesday will "imminently" be served with a winding-up petition over money owed to HMRC, reports BBC Radio Sheffield. After an investigation alongside the Sheffield Star it is understood the Championship club owes £1m. A w...
Carlisle have a big supporters base and an awful lot of them don't live in Carlisle any more (I mean, would you? ) So I think people saying they'll not bring many are wrong - there are a good many London/South-based Cumbrians who'll jump at the chance to see their team play without a 600-mil...

I'll agree with those who've suggested Wolves. From the mid-90s for about a decade nearly every game against them was outstanding and dramatic - and usually a win for us. I'm thinking of Archie's late winner at Elm Park, Bodin-gate, Parky scoring from 40 yards, Adie Williams's own goal, that play-of...
Also strong rumours on the Exeter forum they'll've run out of short money in November. Most of their board has resigned (albeit no public statements yet). Seems to heavily relate to a tax issue where you have to pay the entirety of a transfer fee at the time the deal is done, even if you've not rec...
An amusing report on the Scotland v Greece game last night. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c33rg1zgxk3o I flicked between games last night so didn't see how bad Scotland were in the first half even if the commentators in giving an unbiased opinion made it pretty clear that they had g...
Costs about £250k to install and then about £4k a game to run. That's £92k per club per season, which for the likes of Accrington, Burton, Stevenage, Exeter etc is a substantial sum.
a line has to be drawn somewhere, they've decided it's after tier 2.
Cant imagine the likes of a Warnock coming in unless he is grinding the organ I can. He's retired multiple times so a job where he can dabble and help out for a few months, rather than be the guy in the crosshairs with all the pressure and responsibility, would probably be a great way to stay invol...
It's survival of the fittest - any mega thread that people use all the time will automatically stay at the top without any extra help from being pinned.
But if people aren't bothered about these threads then allow them to sink down and die, to be replaced by whatever gets attention instead.
Courig is not going to sack Hunt , better to bring in someone to help the coaching for 3 months , ex experienced manager like Warnock . Must be plenty of others around Cant imagine the likes of a Warnock coming in unless he is grinding the organ I can. He's retired multiple times so a job where he ...
Not going to argue with any of the above, but for me I think one of their biggest problems is the fullbacks. So much used to start with Andy Robertson and TAA, but Robertson is now 31 and TAA is gone, and they don't seem to have come close to sorting out decent replacements.
To be success commercially, we need more fans attending games and the profile that comes with playing at a higher level. To a certain extent, yes, but there are always three core revenue streams for any football club : supporter income (which includes merchandising), broadcast income and commercial...
