Re: Rob Couhig - New Interview

I remember Tim reporting on an away game against Sheffield United back in the 90s. He's been around for years if I recall correctly.

His Brendan Rodgers interview was frankly embarrassing but then again so was the football that Brendan was serving up.

Re: Rob Couhig - New Interview

Those deals had a lot to do with the role Eddie Niedzwiecki had at the club. Now he's gone there may not be the opportunity to make that type of transfer. So, what's Eddie doing at the moment? Perhaps if we want this kind of deal and he was instrumental to them perhaps we bring him back again? . Pl...

Re: Rob Couhig - New Interview

I don’t mind going into bat in defence of our Tim He is probably the entire Venn diagram of sports journalists with commentary experience who are also lifelong Reading fans Would you rather a Jamie Theakston type Heart Radio focus group approved presenter from out of town? Because that is what you ...

Re: Rob Couhig - New Interview

I love asking the tough questions myself and finding out more about something I've discovered. I'm not a journalist but thats what I expect a journalist to do - be that someone reporting from a warzone or someone reporting on Reading FC. And Dellor just didn't do that with the old ownership. He just...

Re: Rob Couhig - New Interview

There was an interview that Couhig did with a podcast where he specifically said that Dellor was just repeating whatever the club fed him. The problem is as a journalist in this sort of situation, he shouldn't be taking the clubs word for it without referencing that the club or the person has told ...

Re: Rob Couhig - New Interview

Wasn’t there a derogatory comment from Couhig a few weeks ago that sounded as if was directed at Tim Dellor? It really is an indictment of Dellor and Williams that they’ve not had a peep out of a seemingly media-friendly new owner… Based on absolutely nothing at all, I wouldn't be surprised. I thin...

Has he also spoken to the Guardian, or have they lifted quotes from your interview? https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/may/19/new-reading-owner-rob-couhig-there-is-a-real-market-for-the-efl-in-the-us?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other I'd say there is some pulled from my interview and some pulled from p...

Re: Rob Couhig - New Interview

Really good interview, also seem to have beaten all the local media to everything again (god, just what is the point in Tim or the Chronicle)? So, anyway, there’s Dogwood Football LLC which is the parent company and owns all other related companies. Apparently named for the type of tree outside Rob...

The Evening Post are looking for reporters.

I might struggle to get the job there. I applied but for some reason didn't get a reply Huang. Any reporting roles with the Bangkok Times up for grabs?

Re: Platek Takeover and Nigel Howe, Rob Couhig & Mark Bowen info!

From Despair To Where? Well, whatever the motives behind the sacking, he handed them the opportunity on a plate by breaking league betting rules, and not for the first time.

Cannot disagree, it was handed on a plate however it was hiding the real problems. Bowen was no angel but he was doing right by the club

Re: Platek Takeover and Nigel Howe, Rob Couhig & Mark Bowen info!

Very interesting, thanks for the excellent work and great to know some of the “truths” of the last year or so. We now know why the women’s team was done over so badly and who it was that carries the blame. Great to hear that Mark Bowen again comes out as being the one positive leading light in the ...

Platek Takeover and Nigel Howe, Rob Couhig & Mark Bowen info!

I did an interview the other day with MCO Expert Jason Stephens. There is lots of information I'd never heard before.

Using my platform I delved into Bournemouth and Reading's situations and how there are more parties who are guilty of mismanagement not just Dai Yongge.
