Re: Stadium

From the Couhig Q&A : 12. Are there any plans to bring Safe standing to the SCL? Following a discussion with other Staff members earlier today, the topic of safe standing was brought up. Rob said it will be explored and looked at. It’s not just the 1871 area of the ground that could see the int...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Ham United U21

Afraid to say, another reason the gates have gone down is that the football is crap, negative tactics at home games won't bring the fans back.

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Ham United U21

The non first team games never used to be on any TV channel but with streaming it would be interesting to know how many people watch games in that way. ...living in RG1 I'd class myself as pretty local to the SCL - but two or three factors have worked against me of late when pondering attendance at...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Ham United U21

No, I'm a season ticket holder of over 50 years, only ever watch RFC, wouldn't watch a champions league game if you paid me. Why would you expect people to turn up in their masses to watch us play West Ham u21's in an irrelevant lower league competition? I actually watched the game on Sky as it was...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Ham United U21

Given how much people claim to care about the continued existence of a club when it is about to disappear, and will sing Reading till I die on repeat all evening, it often surprises me how low the interest is in going to actually watch. Youths will spend hours on social media commenting all things ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Ham United U21

I'd like to see us try and have a run in this this season....the league looks done already, we'll likely pull clear of the bottom area but aren't going to challenge the top half. It's only the end of September, how can you say the league looks done already? Nobody is interested in this tin pot comp...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (a)

Hunt has turned this team into one with such a soft underbelly. We were so much more solid last season, now we look like we'll concede under every attack. To be fair, we did lose two championship-quality centre backs over the summer. Don't think we've been great defensively for the last few seasons...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (a)

Who Moved The Goalposts? The stats on BBC don't make great reading. Especially the one that states we haven't touched the ball inside their box.

That's what I meant by toothless and powderpuff

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (a)

Hunt has turned this team into one with such a soft underbelly. We were so much more solid last season, now we look like we'll concede under every attack. Is it surprising with our two best defenders injured? We've not looked solid at the back all season, a lot is due to our midfield being so weak ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (a)

Probably lose it but we do at least look capable of scoring a few atm. They really did batter us twice last year though - was men against boys in both games Do we? Think we still look pretty toothless and powderpuff, especially away from home I don’t think we look great by any means but we’ve been ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (a)

Last three results against Stockport: 1-5 (1998) 1-4 1-3 So if that pattern continues we'll only lose 2-1 right? Then on for a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture. That 1-5 game in 1998 was just an utterly miserable night; not only was the football dire, but it absolutely lashed down before, during and...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (a)

Yes, last season, there seemed to be a special bond between players and fans unseen for years, despite the off field drama and it was great to see the academy lads step up and almost nick a play off spot against all odds, no wonder this season feels so flat.

Re: Hunt in

Think yesterday's result just papered over the cracks, has everyone forgot last week's performance as Barnsley? We seem to set up like the away side even at home, yesterday's possession stats showed that and the negative decision to not include Elliott or start with Doyle. Sensed the crowd were gett...

Re: MATCHWATCH : AFC Wimbledon (h)

Ffs why is this game 7pm. Anyone know? Agree it’s ludicrous and will kill the attendance. Whereas no-one cares about Trophy games very much, so it doesn’t really matter, the League Cup being belittled in the same way is stupid even if it has become a minor competition now. 7.45pm is fine if they wa...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a)

Things I don't want to see at Bolton: 1) Wing playing just in front of the back 4. He is wasted there. 2) Defensive midfielders playing in attacking positions 3) Significant amounts of long balls 4) Michael Stickland 5) Matty Jacob 6) Garcia on the left wing 7) An over-reliance on Wing. We always s...

Re: Nathan Ferguson

Which is not remotely tall for his position. And he tends to play hunched over a bit... though more so last season than this. Keith McPherson, Mbengue and even Williams all only 5' 11! Which is short for their position, at least now. So are you saying that Stickland isn't tall enough for his positi...
