Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

I talk to a Bolton fan locally and they are now in their fifth season in League One and he, and most of Bolton supporters, have reached desperation stages to get out of this league and back to the Championship. They’ve been through similar to us and do look a year or two ahead of our own recovery j...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

Anyone else not had the ticket for this game added to their phone wallet yet, normally updated soon after last game, mine is still showing Luton, dated 1 July 00.00? Have just noticed it’s not in my wallet either. Did you get yours sorted Mr C ? Yes, contacted the club, you need to go to the existi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (a)

Corrected for you. You're correction is incorrect, I'm neither on Twitter or a kid, but I am moaning about the performance! Just think we have a dreadful squad and a manager who plays dreadful football. You don't become a good side overnight. It seems like too many have forgotten how much change th...

Busy festive period, 2 back to back away games, relatively small squad, injuries... twitter kids are moaning about the performance. Take a good point and move on. Sometimes it's about grinding out results and we have done that. Corrected for you. You're correction is incorrect, I'm neither on Twitt...

Think grinding out results are becoming the norm.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (a)

That's exactly been my issue with Richardson's insistence on playing the long ball game. It's pointless if you are sitting deep as the ball will just come back every time, constantly building the pressure on the defence. Always maintain the best policy when you are winning is to try and keep possess...

Obviously not many of our team have played at the hotbed of football that Peterborough is.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

For what's a very comfortable scoreline, it's all down to a 12th minute pen and red, and Plymouth then shitting themselves in their own box for the next ten minutes. Without that 10 minute spell, Plymouth have looked very good, and not at all a man down. Yeah you can’t really judge too much in the ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

Tbh I’ve no real issue with hoofball. Quite often more exciting and dynamic than the overdone play out from the back etc Obvs it has its limitations but I’d rather go forward directly and quickly (albeit with the correct profile of player) than continuously passing it backwards. Man City were one o...

Re: Rival Watch

With a table like this, it's another reminder that it's nonsense to have 4 relegation spots. I assume it dates back to regionalisation, with 2 into the northern league and 2 southern. But it's been national for ages and should be 3. It looks like a relatively good team could finish 21st on 55 point...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

Good win. Wilshere looks to be building an attractive footballing outfit, with some lovely passing movements and interplay. I think that will prove to be a very decent 3 points. Wish we could get a manager to build an attractive footballing outfit, instead we have someone wanting to play football f...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

My main frustration is the inability to pass the ball forward when we have the ball in midfield, too often we check and pass backwards in those positions instead of driving/ moving the ball forwards. Dorsett being a prime example, always goes backwards as if he's been told not to cross the halfway l...

STAR newsletter this week We have the Christmas game this week, I have already heard a lot of fans saying that they won't be attending. Please reconsider, the club have put a lot of effort into making the evening as fun as it can be. We know that Santa and his reindeer will be in the Fun Zone where...
