Re: QPR H Boxing day now 7.30pm live on SKY

Really weird from Sky but oh well. Also, I really don't get the issue with moving the kick off time? It's only a few hours later than previously advertised and if people can't make it they can watch on the TV. Because people have kids. And taking kids to an afternoon boxing day game, quite possibly...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Ex-Southbank and East stand chantstarter here, generally disappointed by the new generation of chanters over the last 10 years or so but I have to say I like a certain chant, not sure what it is though. I'm sure you all know it, It starts (notes in brackets)... der(A) der(A) der(G) der(F) OOOPH (or...

Re: BFTG - Plymouth (A)

I - and I suspect several other silver foxes on here - was that kid sat on the wall at the front of the SB. Without wishing to be 'holier than tho', one can understand the adrenaline rush - I had bruising for weeks after Barrow (formerly of this parish) showed sleight of foot to ease in the winner ...

Re: BFTG - Plymouth (A)

Got it. Fans and players finally connecting but when they run over to celebrate with the fans just ignore them. Don't want to celebrate too much with your team, might upset the opposition. I don't think that is even close to what I said. I just don't agree that Meite is more connected with the fans...

Re: BFTG - Plymouth (A)

From the photos I saw there were plenty of spare seats elsewhere - why didn't you move? Because he shouldn't have to and his 7 year old daughter was scared. She'd have wanted to get away from the rude big man, and all that she now associates football with, a game her dad has built her up to going t...

Re: Crowd for Charlton

And then when people start coming and the stadium is more full everyone will moan it is full of plastics. You can't win. Market forces. Dull football, fewer people watch it. Exciting football with a chance of something happening, more people watch it. It is no surprise that the stadium seemed more f...

Re: Twenty’s Plenty

For me the logic comes in charging the clubs that charge us more and then using that to subsidise the away ticket price. E.g. Home fan tickets at Reading (without loyalty discounts etc) = £23-£35 Therefore if we stick a pin somewhere between, £27, for any clubs that do not match twenty is plenty, th...

So weird... I saw it quite differently. I saw a side up for a fight, snapping at heels trying to win back the ball. I saw Olivera, when he made a mistake, chasing back and clearing up in the centre of defence. I saw Mo Barrow pelting it from one wing to the other trying to chase down a lost cause an...

Know it will be controversial with the anti-Swift crew, but thought he did ok as well. p

Thought he was excellent at turning in circles!!! Only began to play once Swansea backed off and he had a bit more time. Thought he was dreadful and would have been my first sub.

Re: Who can save us

Gylfi. Gylfi is the saviour of all. He will appear as from a cloud, descending into us in an Icelandic dust cloud, to come and drag us literally through the ashes. He will be crowned King Gylfi and the stadium shall be full for evermore singing his praises. Either that or we'll get relegated then ge...
