Re: Where will we finish?

This is going to be a fun thread to look back on.

I'm getting the same feeling as Stam's second season, that the corner is just around the corner and things will turn, eventually, just, after the next game, or that game after that. Though there's always a next game where things might just turn.

Re: New Training Ground

What a strange post... Why is it strange? There's negativity around the Chinese owners. I'm replying to someone who said this and giving reasons why I think that this negativity will never go away. Except you have compared two different things. We have Chinese owners, they employ the likes of Nigel...

"And for our owner, Mr Dai, this already represents a £50m plus project" this should stop the negativity around the owners surely. But i'm sure it won't. I live in China. A Chinese owner will always have negativity surrounding him because he's a Chinese boss, and Chinese bosses ar...

I've seen a leaked list of fixtures At home to Millwall, away to Plymouth next , West Brom at home, Leeds away, Shrewsbury at home , Crystal Palace away, Grimsby Away , Blackburn at home.... Ipswich away on the last day of the season.... Either you've also had the Carabao Cup draw and early round r...

Re: Rival Watch

What on earth didn’t the Birmingham fans go on to become then ? Politicians ? There weren't any. We had Millwall, Wolves and Coventry and the usual glory supporters, but I don't remember there being any Brum supporters. Must have been some Albion fans though? Don't mind the Baggies fans for the one...

Re: Rival Watch

Agreed. Every other team has at least one loathsome element to them. Villa for example, not only have some of the most cnutish, entitled fans in England, they have that ghastly pinched faced racist as an assistant manager. Imagine what it was like growing up in Warwickshire with Villa fans being in...

They are certainly the least offensive team in the play-offs. I'm with you. West Brom up hopefully. Shame they sacked their manager. Agreed. Re: The League of 4

It’s a unique madness of football fans that they see a rival who has won 8 of 43 games and 1 of the last 5 and for some reason decides they could win 2 out of 3 all of a sudden If we had beaten them , rather than drawing twice this season. Then we wouldn't even need to be discussing this. As would ...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

Don’t think the appointment was a punt at all. Just because fans rely on Wikipedia for their partial info doesn’t mean the club did. His Cv was wrongly seen by some as showing a guy who couldn’t stick at a Job for more than a handful of games and hadhad no success. That was a very unfair interpreta...

It's a shame he never met my granddad, his name was Jack Daniels, but wasn't from the Reading side of the family, lived up north. They could have gone out on the piss together.

Re: Rumour - Ruben Semedo

alfie9 Gomes knows how to turn this around

We need someone to come in and relentlessly bully the other players until they get their act together

So like Martin Allen sort of thing? Or Mourinho? No one likes to be bullied. The fear can only last for so long.

Re: BFTG United (A)

There are a few similarities between the start of McDermott’s first stint and Gomes’ handful of games. Spirited performances in the league with exception of one stinker (Plymouth for BMcD and Swansea for JG), and then a very promising performance against one of the best teams in the country. Let’s ...
