Re: Pre Season Tour - Portugal 2012

Portimonense S.C. (based in Portimao, just to the west of Silves & Albufeira) played in their Premier League last season (10/11) but were relegated, so suggest they might be a possible choice (9,540 seater stadium).

PS: my in-laws live just outside Portimao so I'm ok Jack!

Re: FAO Daytrippers

Well said Terminal Boredom. I once had a season ticket in Y26, many years ago, and swapped it on the first opportunity as I was fed up not being able to watch the football as those around were more intent of standing up and gesturing at the opposition fans than watching the game. I now sit in the U...

Re: M4 - A Corridor of Premier League Football?

Haven't Bristol Rovers been given the nod for a 20,000 all seater? Building starts soon I think. That'll hurt City! :D Indeed they have "been given the nod"... just as City's stadium was "given the nod" over 2 years ago... watch out for the 'village green' lovers moving from Lon...

Re: M4 - A Corridor of Premier League Football?

I was thinking last evening that the West Ham fans must be slinking back from Bristol, either on the M4 or through Reading Station. As their game finished 15 minutes before ours, they must have been coming through about the time Reading's promotion celebrations were going on, although I guess many ...

Re: Premiership Hoops

If we retain Waitrose as the shirt sponsor, I am assuming it will be for vastly more money now? (The second strip hoops could always be shades of green  ).

Re: Birmingham away

Any SW Royals travelling to Brum by train? I am thinking the 09:30 from Temple Meads? Haven't decided yet as I may already be in Brum for the weekend. However, what I would say is this: Bristol to Brum off-peak return £48.40 or Bristol to Gloucester off-peak return £8.20 and Gloucester to Brum off-...

Re: Forest (H) Predictions

I have a real dilemma. I have tickets for the Palace and Brum games :D but was convinced by a Bristol City friend to go to Ashton Gate on Tuesday night and watch them quote ‘beat’ unquote The Hammers. Whilst I’d love for City to win or draw for their own sake in staying up (they are ...

Re: Forest (H) Predictions

Drew_3 I can understand wanting West Ham to win so you don't miss out by why on earth would you want Reading to loose?!

I want City to win.... to stay up, consequently I need Reading to drop points so The Promo Party is not Tuesday when I'm at Ashton Gate!! :?
