Re: Record Watch 2024/25

It's been a good run, we held the record for 19 years and it took a borderline Championship side spending 8 figures in League One to beat it.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h)

Hope we do our bit, because with everything arranged and potentially a home sellout or near enough, it would be a shame to not get the win since it's becoming a bit of an occasion.

Re: Record Watch 2024/25

Blackpool will be tough for Birmingham and I'm sure they'll want to finish the season well, but the points record can officially be tied or beaten tonight.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h)

Looking at the tweets of people sharing the updates to available seats, I did wonder if the Y19 drum turns people off sitting there, always one of the last seats to go. Yea it could be that. I thought 1871 has a drum too though? I rarely hear the Y19 one. Maybe it's because it's a bit of a no-mans ...

Re: Predictions for this weekend

JedMaxwell We'll win comfortably, Orient will bottle it and we'll go into the play-offs riding the crest of a wave and finally win a play-off final at Wembley.

There, I've said it.

At least we have someone to blame now.

Re: Predictions for this weekend

If Orient make short work of Huddersfield, the atmosphere at the stadium could get deflated very quickly, hope 1871 and the surrounding blocks are up for a good bit of cheering regardless of what is going on in the Orient game because the team deserve the support.

Re: Predictions for this weekend

The only worrying thing for me is this feels very much the same energy as when we went to Pride Park and beat them 3-0, it turned out after the matches finished that a draw would have been enough for them. Just worried we'll bottle it and then Orient will lose.

Re: Promotion thread 2024/25

It's probably been noted, but we need a favour this weekend from Huddersfield (five defeats in a row) at home to Orient (five wins in a row). It feels unlikely. Huddersfield have had a really odd season - they went unbeaten for 16 games from early October, but are currently on a run of 11 defeats i...

Re: EFL Awards

Reading and Leyton being totally absent despite being 6th/7th, sign of both teams over-achieving, both going a bit under the radar, maybe a bit of both?

Re: Promotion thread 2024/25

With Wrexham 2-0 up and Bristol Rovers and Crawley having shocking goal difference, it looks like our battle with Orient for 6th is the only final day League One drama.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol Rovers (a)

Looking forward to Burnley v2 where we beat Barnsley and word spreads that Orient have drawn to Huddersfield, only to find out after the pitch invasion that they scored a last minute winner.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol Rovers (a)

I wonder if there's going to be any push for chasing as many goals as possible or if the team have accepted if we win both games and still lose out on G/D, thems the breaks.

Re: Record Watch 2024/25

I don’t mean this to sound churlish, but League One is vastly different to Championship. I don’t know why the distinction isn’t made every time the points tally’s are mentioned. Let them have the League One Points record and we’ll keep the Championship one. And I’ll remain completely unbothered unt...

Re: Record Watch 2024/25

Will be cheering on Stevenage tonight of course. Didn`t help. Didn't cheer, probably the reason they lost. Looking at their final three, we need them to drop at least 5pts to even level it and that includes games against Mansfield and Cambridge, could see Blackpool getting a win, especially with th...

Re: Away day - seating or unreserved

As a person who likes to sit in his ticketed seat, this unwritten, all seats are unreserved at away games does annoy me and almost turns me off going. But as a rule of thumb, if you want to stand and chant all game, get a seat near the back, otherwise go nearer the front.
