Re: Green park station/south Reading station

Have there ever been calls for Earley or Tilehurst stations to be rezoned?

No, didn't think so.

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

Speculation based on what though, is there a precedent for this? Just seems incredibly unlikely to me - the train companies would be foregoing revenue. Presumably based on prices to Reading and Reading West being the same. But they are of course much closer together than Green Park would be. Could ...

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

It might be cheaper if you're travelling to Reading by train, assuming "Reading or Reading West" on the ticket becomes "Reading, Reading West or Green Park". Does it? Where has this been announced? I used the words might and assuming...... no idea yet what the situation will be....

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

For people travelling from the town centre and back - does this provide any real benefit over the bus? It might be cheaper if you're travelling to Reading by train, assuming "Reading or Reading West" on the ticket becomes "Reading, Reading West or Green Park". Does it? Where has...

Hendo I’ll be out in Cape Town for this one, so should be able to catch it on a TV somewhere, which is nice.

What's a South African christmas like? Any outlandish traditions?

I'm hearing rumours of a station pub to be opened, that could sweeten the deal for the bus lot.

Re: Congratulations, you are the new Reading manager

I would tell the owners from the start that i'm planning for the long term. Don't expect any major success in at least the first couple of seasons. If you're going to sack me if I lose a few games in a row then don't bother hiring me in the first place. My goal is to slowly build up a team of playe...

Re: Thank you to those that used Parson Street

infoman Does help to get a train station(eventually) constructed nearer the ground.

Could it not be argued the other way round - if it proves a popular option then the rail links are already fit for purpose.

Re: local info saturday from a Bristol City fan

"Don't park here!" "Don't drive that way, you'll get lost!" (as if we're thumbing through an A-Z while at the wheel) "Make sure you get off at THIS station" A well meant post I'm sure - and if you look hard enough there might be a couple of interesting tips in there but...

Re: Worst start for many years.

If the OP is arguing that a teams performance over the first 10 games (or indeed any 10 games) is strongly correlated to your performance over 46, then I don't think you need to delve too deeply into the stats to agree. Soz, Green, not sure that holds up. Take 2011-12: After 10 games, we were on a ...

Yes you will need a ticket to enter the ground. HTH.

Do you ever long for the days of cash on the turnstiles, OMA?

Re: Bristol City (A)

Does that trouble you then?

Would you pay more than you think is reasonable to "save face"?

If so I suggest you're part of the problem - clubs can charge what they like and they know chumps will pay it.

Re: Bristol City (A)

Honestly if you think it's too expensive (and at £32 I'm inclined to agree) then don't go. Same as any other event or form of entertainment. I can't see why people get so het up about it.

excellent stuff what else have you done on your trip? Hi...We have been using the Madhouse Hotel as our base since touring the English West Country. Taking in the Plymouth game. Bit disappointed with the 2-0 loss against Charlton, but hay what the hell we are still over the moon to be in England an...
