Youssoufa Moukoko. 15 year old forward at Dortmund. Started playing for their under 17's from 12 years old and scored 90 goals in 56 games for them. Was moved up to their under 19's at 14 years old and scored 37 in 22. Moved up to the first team squad this summer. Not allowed to make his debut unti...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

But they're still winning Obviously The point I’m making is I don’t think they look as dominant as they did last season (which I admit, isn’t surprising) which may open more doors for other teams to compete I think there were plenty of times last season when they didn't look dominant - but still fo...

Re: Weekend Football

Orient v Spurs has been called off/postponed due to the COVID infections within the squad. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54248560 By the rules Spurs should be awarded a walkover, but it appears the club has agreed only to a postponement at this stage, which is rather good of the club given i...

AC Milan play against FK Bodo/Glimt in the Europe league later this week. Listened to Norwegian football journalist Lars Sivertsen today who explained that FK Bodo/Glimt are a historically small club from a very small town in the north of the country inside the arctic circle, yet after 18 games of ...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Suarez flew to Italy to take a language exam, which is needed if you want to apply for citizenship. He can apply for this as his wife already has italian citizenship and it will mean he doesn't take up a non EU spot in clubs squads (Juve have apparently used up all their non EU spots) https://twitt...

Old Man Andrews Sanguine deliberately removing me from the quote. Pathetic.

Get a grip pal, I just quoted the last sentence, as it was the bit I was replying too.

Re: CheLOLsea

I wasn't meaning exclusively Milan, I just mean in total, for any and all clubs. If he was to break the Milan record, that would be 443 more games, you'd be looking at 10 years I think, when he would still only be 31, which is prime for a 'keeper, which is also pretty oxf*rd insane. Just having a l...

Re: CheLOLsea

Hendo
How can someone play that many games? Even if you play 50 games as season, that is 23 seasons!

Peter Shilton played his first league game a few weeks after our '66 World Cup win, and was playing for England at Italia' 90. He finally retired in 1997 after 31 seasons.

Re: CheLOLsea

I think Hendo meant career appearances - he's certainly got as much chance as anyone. Alban Lafont, Fiorentina keeper, is a month older and on 173. Camavinga will have about 50 to his name when he turns 18 in November. Buffon has 1,115 career games, including 200 for Italy and their age group teams....

Re: Weekend Football

The idea with COVID is that as all players are being tested every few days, the clubs have a 'live' picture of the level of infection. Seems to completely ignore incubation periods though! Now reported that 'the majority' of Orient's first-team squad have tested positive. Don't know what that means ...

Morata going back to Juve. Loan deal for a €9M fee with a €45M option to buy Being reported that Juve couldn't get Dzeko's signing over the line as Milik going the other way was part of the deal and that bit hit problems. Re: UEFA Nations League

Interesting what one result can do for a 'legacy'. Had Messi's Argentina won that WC final vs. Germany, rather than lost it, I think the endless and boring debate as to who is the 'GOAT' would be done and dusted, irrespective of Messi's personal contribution to the win (and he had had a very good Wo...

Jamal Musiala will be an interesting one if he continues on his trajectory at Bayern. Born in Germany, but he qualifies for England having moved here aged seven (the five-year residency rule related to kids' education). He has played for both England (alongside Bellingham) and Germany age group team...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Was just reading that the Thiago deal is £20M basic + £10M add ons and the basic is has been structured as £5M per season over 4 years. Mind boggling when you look at the price some others go for Michael Edwards has done a fantasic job there. They have structured the Jota signing in a similar way -...

Re: Weekend Football

Notwithstanding that Chelsea were down to ten men, it's pretty astonishing of Thiago to set a successful passes record (75) in his first 45 minutes of PL football (and 90% accuracy too).
