Re: Mark Bowen Whelmgauge

Throughly whelmed. Dont support the hate on twitter despite how funny it is but do think it's a left field appointment that, if it fails, will make us look an absolute basket case of a club.

Question: If Bowen gets us relegated will that make him one of the most hated firuges in our history?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by a new hope

Dont know whether a remodel is needed yet or not. I reckon it's either going to be a 5-3-2 or a 4-2-3-1 but dont care which. We probably have better players for a 5-3-2. I want to see Rafael, Yiadom, Rinomhota, Swift and Meite in the team. Dont mind who else plays after them though I have my prefere...

Re: CONFIMRED - Mark Bowen

Seems to be being bad mouthed by Gabbidon and Edwards on Twitter. They might know him well enough.

I can't work out if he was taking the piss, or if people really do think that way now.

I see no problems with that tweet.

There's a shock.

Theroyalbox Charlie Watts tweeted that he was a good bet at 25/1, after the Gomes sacking.
Definitely was planned

I miss Watts. Great journalist.

He isn't dead m8, he's still a journalist.

Re: Next Manager

Just seen on the twitter Murty was linked. I know there was something about dodgy charity dealings but he is very well thought of by Rangers fans. I wouldn't say no.

Re: Next Manager

Wasnt Clarke rated highly as a coach? Doesnt guarentee being a good or even decent manager. Same as Clement. Absolute disgrace of an appointment. Not just that we are given another unproven coach a go. Not just that he isn't even an up and coming coach, he is a well worn and never managed coach. Bu...

Wasnt Clarke rated highly as a coach? Doesnt guarentee being a good or even decent manager. He is a good coach and manager though, has done reasonably well everywhere he has been. Yeah, sure. But you get my point. Good coach does not mean good manager which is why I think it is a stretch to put it ...

Re: Congratulations, you are the new Reading manager

GetReading showed a tweet with this comment Whoever the manager is that comes in, they’ll be inheriting a midfield with fantastic ball carrying and the ability to break the lines via dribbles. Swift & Ejaria rank in the top 5 for progressive carries p90 this season. Rinomhota excelled in this m...

Re: The Great, Big Royal International Thread

Delighted to see Richard's made his Under21 debut. He deserves it. He really stepped it up. Yes, JG and his team really did seem to have brought Omar Richards much closer to fulfilling his potential so much so that most of us didn’t understand why Jordan Obita took his place when he regained fitnes...

Re: Congratulations, you are the new Reading manager

It's so very very narrow. Where's the width, where's the crosses. Tis by design. The only wide men in this formation will be the (deeper) full backs and the roaming attackers. When in possession we would be moving as a unit centrally shifting from flank to flank. Like so: ---------------Rafael ----...

-------------------Rafael Yiadom--Miazga---Morrison--Richards -------Rinomhota---Pele ---------------Swift---Ejaria ---------------Meite---Joao Distribution- mixed. Aim for Joao and Meite. Short should be distributed to Full backs. Restrict the full backs. We have learned well enough now that our C...

Re: Next Manager

Actually got them playing pretty decent football whilst getting better results iirc. I doubt there's many club's of Stoke's size that make many more than 15 years unbroken in the PL and they must have been close to that if not beyond it. It only takes one season of bad recruitment and your blown. T...
