Re: Speculation Nigel Adkins new DOF?

Would Mark Bowen be annoyed to have to share an office ? I thought he was pretty much doing the DofF role. Can't see Jose being too happy to have someone like Adkins around. Hmm well he was here as a technical consultant with a focus solely on the tactical side of things. very different role to DOF...

muirinho
Platypuss To the keeper's left, about 2 foot from the post and 2 foot off the ground.
In other words, if the goalie guesses the right way, he saves it.

Over 92% success rate there according to the stats.

Typical of us to have the 8% taking our pens....

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

There needs to be more thought given to how they attract and retain young refs and punishments at all levels for ref abuse have to be severe enough to make it stop. I agree. I find it shocking how it's just taken as normal for players to gesticulate at refs, argue with them, shout etc.. Whilst I pr...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

The weakness is out wide where there is just a wing back and not a full back plus winger and leaves the flanks vulnerable to being overloaded. So , given we’ve not had any defensive cover from our wings for years , there is no weakness in the system. The difference is that in this system the full b...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

It's early days for this new system but the weakness will be against teams who pack the midfield and force us out wide. That's exactly what happened in the second half vs Wycombe and we struggled. I don't think we have enough quality at wing back. The weakness is out wide where there is just a wing...

Re: Friends and family midweek tickets.

CountryRoyal It’s a joke that we don’t fill the stadium more with our incredible pricing. Hopefully an upturn in performances will see that changed!

Absolutely.
Hard to know what more the owners can do.
Just needs a good run of results and they will be desperate for tickets !

Re: Will we get found out again?

Odd to worry about us not having a Plan B when we've already used at least 3 formations and used different players to do different roles. That's exactly why I'm concerned; those other formations/roles lead to 2 defeats and a draw in 90mins with a lower league side. So if by plan B we mean systems t...

Re: Song For Puşcaş

The simple but effective repeated chanting of
Pus-cas
Pus-cas
Worked well at Wycombe
It was kind of Eastern European on feel and seemed to reflect the qualities of the man himself
Sometimes less is more.

Good luck with a song for Eljaria....

Re: Will we get found out again?

Odd to worry about us not having a Plan B when we've already used at least 3 formations and used different players to do different roles. We've got the players to be flexible and while undoubtably we'll have a preferred way of playing I can't see us being stuck on one system. Even down to the small ...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

I thought Puscas showed many similarities to Shane Long today. I hope not. Good player for many reasons I suppose but he was hardly prolific. He reminds me of Forster. The guy took the ball from OUR HALF got his head down and just ran towards goal like a goal hungry maniac and scored. It was bloody...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

 @ the usual moaners, sharpening their knives on pages 4 & 5 of the match thread. We're very inconsistent, but it was pleasing to see some ability and desire on show for 90 minutes today. Tbf that's the first time that teams played together. Harsh to call them inconsistent. TBF 9 of the te...

Re: Gunter, GMac and 'the Reading way'?

You said ‘apparantly’, so perhaps there weren’t any. Or perhaps the players didn’t fancy dropping to Div 2 Or perhaps the offer was to let the player move but we’d still had to pay their wages Or perhaps they were pay as they play deals where the loaning club would pay the wages if they played but ...

Re: Any more out the door?

Rumour Popa is in talks over a permanent switch to FCSB I’m Romania On loan - if Twitter is to believed he's on €60k per week - of which they are covering €20k?? At least we got some sort of return for Pog, re games played etc... Can't blame Gorley either as he's been here 3 years already If he was...

All noted Wimb. So why did we not offload them when loan bids (apparently) came in for them at the end of the transfer window? You said ‘apparantly’, so perhaps there weren’t any. Re: Gunter, GMac and 'the Reading way'?

Can anyone explain the benefits of isolating a senior and longstanding player who has a reputation as being one of the good guys in the game? I absolutely get the club want to move GMac and Gunts on. Fair enough. Both though have very good reps as professional footballers and their experience could...

Re: Gunter, GMac and 'the Reading way'?

Quite a lot of us care about it. Under Coppell the club not only succeeded, but did so in admirable and ethical ways. You might want to take a look at how judgemental and intolerant you are as a possible cause for why you're so miserable and unstable. This is absolute nonsense ! There was stuff und...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

So interesting takes from that - Loader and Olise probably not involved on Sunday - no Barrett - no Novacovic , so is he going to be involved on Sunday ? Either of the above 2 could be replacements or cover if Boye is outstanding - McLeary and Gunter not involved. To be honest I could understand no...
