Re: Championship group administration possible ???

If they allow every Championship club to enter admin to clear their debts, then they have to let all Football League clubs do the same. I'm fully in favour of wage caps at all levels of world football. The game is completely out of control. To rephrase that you are all in favour of club owners and ...

Re: Championship group administration possible ???

Wage caps would need to be global Enforce one here and everyone would disappear to countries where there wasn’t one. It’s why so many overseas players are in England’s - there is a differential between what they earn here and what they earn in the rest of the world. Now it might be a good thing to t...

Re: Championship group administration possible ???

[quote="Old Man Andrews"]English football has needed a hitting of the reset button for a while now, especially at Football League level. Would be very much in favour of all Football League clubs having a salary cap each season like in the NFL with all players given a 1 year contract so tha...

Re: Finance

It looks well advanced on the latest timeline video. It's been all but finished for months, unless the finer details haven't been completed due to the lockdown? A report in The Sun, a week or so ago, said the finishing date has been put back from it's July completion, but didn't say when it would b...

Re: Finance

Royals and Racers No London Irish income from next season won`t help- unless there is a deal that they will pay something as compensation for breaking the contract.

I heard Brentford’s ground won’t be ready and so Irish have nowhere to play next season.....

Re: Finance

I think it simply boils down to paying huge amounts on player wages. Yet the club would have known about all of the outgoings so no excuses for this. It makes the decision to hang on to Loader last summer even more stupid. Hanging on to Loader was only stupid if we were actually getting any money f...

Re: Finance

I don't understand the whole thing tbh. How did we manage to lose that much? How have we not previously sold Loader and possibly Moore when interest for them? How did we make any signings at all this summer? All very strange and not very pleasant reading I think it simply boils down to paying huge ...

Re: Finance

Are the FL really going to be bothering about the crazy nonsense that is FFP ?

And we’ve got an obvious solution. We buybthe stadium back off the owners for £1 and then they buy it again for £40 million. Sorted. We can do this every season, so is sustainable and in line with the spirit of FFP.

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

That prick on the daily news conference saying masks give you no protection, that will be very comforting to all the NHS staff that wear them. Dumb question but are the masks used hospitals the same as the masks used by punters in the street? Doesn`t matter, the comment in itself was irresponsible ...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

quite frankly its all a load of bollocks Thankyou for summarising your ‘arguement’ so we don’t have to waste time with it. The internet is full of scientific explanation of why this is not just like seasonal flu. You seem to be in a minority of 2 and when the other one is Trump you know you are in ...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

Chill. Way more people have had this virus than we think. YES We will enter a peak soon and things will slow. YES Several treatments are already showing promise and vaccines have been produced. NO, testing is only just starting We will forget about this like we forgot about the other SARS and Ebola...

Re: Enjoying or hating the no football era?

Not missing any of it, although that is helped by the fact that it’s not happening at all, rather than it’s happening but I can’t partake. Work is manic, family issues need attention and I’ve drawn up a long list of jobs/projects that have needed doing for (in some cases) years and will now actually...

Re: Royal Elm Park

Would 1000 fewer fans a game outweight the income from the development? Hmmm. And if we are challenging at the top or in the PL, that 1000 will likely be replaced by others anyway. What income? The Thai’s own that land. RFC get nothing from the development other than the £15m we sold the land for w...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

Sorry, but this is becoming utterly counter productive and this thread is now officially off limits. Guessing at numbers and outcomes by those with no actual knowledge doesn’t help. Extrapolating using an obvious preexisting bias doesn’t help. I can understand that it could get bad but I reckon some...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

I think we’ll not see the rest of the games played. Even going behind closed doors is problematic if teams have players ill. If it is cancelled then promotion and relegation have to be declared null and void. Titles should still be awarded to teams currently top. I hope no one is top by virtue of ha...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

Snowflake Royal Anyone else wondering about Moore's illness now?

We've had a few off sick in the last month or two haven't we?

Pretty certain there’s been a massive cover up by the club. Explains the Wigan performance. Players seem to have recovered by the time we payed Wednesday luckily.

Re: 2019/20 Injury Watch

If we had sold him last year, I think the offer was 6 or 7 million? Really? Wasn't that the same fake story as £10 million offered by Brighton for Moore the previous year? No, it was the Wolves story. I can't remember the exact amount but the owner blocked it, it was pretty much done and dusted if ...
