Re: Players who started off good but became terrible

I got to know Grant Brebner well whilst he played for us as he lived close to me.

Due to work commitments I didn’t have a season ticket for a year but when I could go would just call him and he would put tickets aside for us.

I thought he had the potential to become a top player.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (a)

According to the FA suspensions for receiving a red card in a league game are applied across both league AND cup games. Suspensions for a red card received in an EFL Trophy game though are served only in the EFL Trophy competition unless the FA determine otherwise. A suspension shall commence immed...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (a)

I don't know the exact rules (and I haven't quoted you) but Trossard was sent off in the Prem recently then Arsenal played in the Carabao Cup in midweek (different competition) where the red counted so he could then play again the following weekend Yeah I'm not sure then, trying to find the rules b...

Re: CONFRIMED: Takeover collapsed; Back to square one

Still find it hard to believe how SJM was unable to find any buyer/interest for a PL or PL challenging football club during his latter time as owner and all he could get was a totally potless Russian. If only he'd got that bit right we might still have a car park and not have a wazack for an owner....

Re: Rumour - Chem Campbell

I have a theory about the Selles misunderstanding regarding could we sign a loan player. I think we could but they couldn’t play for us until the takeover is completed. The Chem deal was announced last night so the club could say he wouldn’t be eligible tomorrow . However it’s been suggested he was ...

Re: Next Six League Games - Post Bolton (H)

The Oxford game will probably be postponed due to international call-ups again. So we will have 3 away league games in a row followed by 3 at home

Re: Charlie savage confimred

Snowflake Royal Brebner was great

He was a decent guy as well and I got to know him when he lived locally .

Work commitments meant that I didn’t have a season ticket at the time but when I could get to a game I could just call him up and he would put some tickets in the office for me.

Re: Do the people of Reading care?

You only have to look at the racial diversity of the people in Reading and compare it to the typical crowd at the Mad Stad to start to understand the issue. Very few Reading fans actually live in the town. I recall previous surveys that showed only a small percentage do. I’m in West Berkshire and t...

https://twitter.com/smujjii87/status/1575624240623390721?t=JblQRxGbsh3tO2OOGJsypw&s=19 Do we really have a squad of 25? I presume a 25 man squad is the same for every club in the FL and not just enforced on clubs in breach of ffp? Also does a club name its 25 man squad or are there some other r...

Nah oxf*rd em. I remember when they were relegated from the prem. and we played em on the opening day. John Gregory in charge and ravenelli was playing for them 2002 I think. We’d just been promoted from division 2 (old money). I remember reading in their programme something along the lines of. ‘Yo...

RG30 Is he even likely to get a work permit? Sounds like a complete non-starter to me.

Re: The hardest player to ever play for Reading?

The Cube Pretty sure Hurlock is the answer in my lifetime, but don't forget Dave Madden.

Terry Hurlock is the correct answer but I clearly remember a wild Dave Madden tackle in front of the southbank and I turned to my Dad and said goodbye Dave.

It was bad and I don’t think he played for us again
