Re: Next Manager

The deafening silence is pretty hard to take at the moment, especially during the international break with no football. The longer we go with nothing happening is becoming a bit of a worry tbf. I guess the delay of appointing a manager is looking like ruling out those currently out of a job, unless ...

Re: Next Manager

I've always liked the German model of football, they play fast, attractive free flowing football and their managers seem to have that strong personality about them. One team who where fancied for relegation were SC Freiburg, however they are tearing up the Bundesliga and currently sit in 4th place,...

Shame it didn't quite work out for him. +1 did we really expect anything different from Jose!! Its a sad day to see him leave, the guy was pure class and i wish him all the best for the fut...

Re: Next Manager

With Bowen at the helm its 100% going to be Mark Hughes lol.....pretty uninspiring but has that experience at this level which is just what we need to get us out of this mess. Would prefer Houghton, but everyone is saying he will not come to Reading which seems strange as i dont see much difference ...

Re: GOMES OUT!

Wow, this is a tough one, the guy is a really likable manager and to be honest, he has done some really great work to date. His record at the end of last season was good, and he really got on board with the fans and pulled the club together. The fans seemed to love him (Portugal Day) and the players...

Re: BFTG Bristol

Time for a change of system please, 4-3-3 for me with Puscas as the out an out striker and Boye and Meite playing as inside forwards. Three in the middle with Rinhomota as the deeper of the three, and a traditional back four. i know that confidence must be low at the moment, but we must play at a hi...

Has to be Oxford away lol....and depending on tomorrows results....Portsmouth or Forest Green away should be fun trips, however we will be away to some northern championship side like Preston or Sheff Weds

Re: BFTG - HULL CITY (AWAY)

So just after half time, we brought on Puscas and looked like we paired him up front with Meite, with Joao tucked in behind them. Swift was playing over on the leftwith Rinhomota on the right i think. It was all pretty strange and bizarre but it caused total havoc and Hull couldn't cope!! After wave...

Re: First choice starting XI

I'm guessing Jose will have to rotate the squad to keep everyone happy! i notice both posts above have Swift on the bench, yet three days ago he was our main source of midfield creation and will he be happy coming off the bench week in week out? Its a great problem to have, and who gets the nod upfr...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

This is all very surreal at the moment and i wouldn't be surprised if we move a few players on tomorrow before the deadline. I would guess that either Barrow, Meite or Loader would be the ones most sought after. Meite would be in high demand after scoring again on Saturday, Barrow has been mentioned...

Re: CONFIMRED - Puscas

This Puscas chap looks the real deal from the video clips and i really cannot believe we've got under the radar and signed him. I suspect we'll be luckily to get two years out of him at best if he scores goals!! he'll leave for a big premier or European club for loads of dosh i guess. So a smart mov...

Re: Where will we finish?

7th-9th.....Looking good at the back.....midfield looking like it has a bit more steel and understanding and just need a striker to find his shooting boots... No reason why we can't achieve this.....the way we break forward looks wonderful to watch at times...For the first time in a couple of seaso...

Re: Where will we finish?

Once the table settles down after the first 10 - 15 games, it tends to split into three groups, the strugglers (Bottom Six) the top two and play off candidates (Top Eight) and the rest lol. We were in that bottom group last season and it made for a nail biting finish, and in the end getting our five...

Re: Jose “3-4 Signings This Week”

I thought Ejaria looked quite good in three different positions without really shining in any of them. Was most impressed with him as part of a Baker-Rinomhota-Ejaria midfield. Would not be keen on Rinomhota-Ejaria-Swift. Guess I could see East-Rinomhota-Ejaria working? Howdy Sciag, where do you se...
