Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

Watching a few Champs games recently I don't think any of our players are at that level but Wing is a very good League 1 player and I am glad that we have him. There will need to be major changes if we are to have a go at promotion within the next few years, especially if it is a team designed to s...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

Today was his best game of the season, and his best moments came from being higher up on the pitch which is not a surprise. I would not want to sell him. He's a cornerstone team member and one of the best midfielders in the league if we can unlock his talent more consistently. I feel like a lot of ...

Re: Favourite Reading game?

Speaking of Millwall games, that 5-0 with the Convey break from their corner was pretty good.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game - 24/25 page 225 onwards

Ref got all the pen decisions right imo First clearly pulled back and no attempt to play ball - pen and red card Second, clearly tripped by a silly Abrefa foot. Was attempting to play the ball so pen and no red card Rebound from the pen - their player just ran straight across him, initiated a small...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

Watching the highlights, you've seen them given, but I don't think KelvinE is a strong penalty shout. The player runs across him with no intent to get the ball to block Kelvin's movement towards it, and instead of being strong and try to hold him off just belly flops at the first contact. And you ca...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

The biggest problem with Doyle is his complete lack of pace and acceleration. He can turn someone, or beat his man but cannot get away afterwards. He has the ability to buy a yard, but can’t spend it. In other words, there is a reason why he is on loan in league one again. Yes. Also an issue. But n...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game - 24/25 page 225 onwards

From Despair To Where? There was a Plymouth fan who used to post on here (T-Rex)?

Absolute bellend.

Yeah they've always been massively up themselves.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (a)

Yids didn't look right either, he also was replaced. Keen to see how Burns does in a more settled side. He's talented enough to do well for us. Agreed, he had a few mistakes in him early on however, that was probably down to being a whole new team! His passing will be an upgrade as i really like hi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

Wing was bloody good today as well tbf. Think we prob take him for granted a bit at times, frustrated as we all are with him playing deep I mean great pen, another good win of the loose ball and finish, goal saving tackle and a pinpoint assist for Marriott…great stuff Today was his best game of the...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

Yeah you can’t really judge too much in the circumstances really. Stupid pen and sending off to give away (it was a red) then some truly absymal defending for our third and it’s kind of game over Plymouth battled pretty well but their appalling pen miss killed the game off. Still we made quite few ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

The sending off changed everything and clearly rattled Plymouth for 10 mins and credit to us for taking advantage of that! Plymouth showed they are a decent side and with 11players we would have struggled. A win is a win and my only gripe with today was that we really should have had at least 6 goa...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

Plus Lane and Ritchie to come back. Plus Rino not really yet used. Hope Randell was just a precaution. He's looked a stupendous free agent signing. Is the reason for Rhino's withdrawal from AFCON such a secret? I thought it was common knowledge - but won't disclose in case it isn't as he and his fa...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

13 points from 7 under LR. What's actually encouraging is that we don't look convincing. It's quite obvious he's not too happy with the state of the squad and wants to put his mark on it over the next few windows. But we're getting results anyway. There should be extra gears to go through with bett...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

Next up another team on a winning streak. Peterborough have won 4 in a row, which started with their win at the SCL. Would take a point and not be too upset if we lose given the last 2. I'm not taking the play offs seriously, though a few more good results might change my mind. I've said it before,...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

For what's a very comfortable scoreline, it's all down to a 12th minute pen and red, and Plymouth then shitting themselves in their own box for the next ten minutes. Without that 10 minute spell, Plymouth have looked very good, and not at all a man down. Yeah you can’t really judge too much in the ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

Very good result, if rather mixed performance. I don’t see Plymouth being relegated based on recent results and that performance. More like a comfortable 16th.

Pereira won that for us. That pen goes in and it's hard to see us holding on.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a)

Abrefa is bizarrely greedy for a fullback who doesn't score many. Should totally have squared that, but he was always going to take the touch and shoot. Still not convinced by ABREFA, is he actually any good or just a flatterer He's good. But decisions still not the best (pen and shot), He's never ...
