Re: BFTG - Luton

Whenever we win well people say we were playing a very poor side. There is no doubt that Luton are limited but I think we would have beaten almost any Championship team playing like that today and so to me it is about how well we played and not how poor Luton were. The question is can we play that ...

NewCorkSeth Couldn't watch as I had to go to a gender reveal party. Anyone fancy giving a detailed summary?

I’m all for prioritising family/friends, but this is pretty embarrassing. Do people really do such things?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998%E2%80%9399_Reading_F.C._season#Results_2 First season at the Mad Stad fixtures, results and goal scorers. Certainly wasn't as bad as I had remembered. Shaky two opening games, and other than Bristol Rovers hitting us for six we were fairly solid throughout. Was at...

Re: QPR H Boxing day now 7.30pm live on SKY

Really weird from Sky but oh well. Also, I really don't get the issue with moving the kick off time? It's only a few hours later than previously advertised and if people can't make it they can watch on the TV. Because people have kids. And taking kids to an afternoon boxing day game, quite possibly...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by a new hope

GTFI!!!!!! Nothing quite like a last ditch winner as the clock strikes 5. Decent performance today - 0-0 would have been fair enough as did not create a great deal, but competitive. What a boost to get the late winner. Who was the legend that hit the pile driver that got parried? I’ve seen two game...

Old Man Andrews Rafael

Gunter
Moore
Miazga
Richards

Rinomhota
Olise
Swift

Ejaria
Baldock
Boye

Fully behind this side. Gunter has been our best player for the past 4-5 season, disgrace he was sidelined.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wolverhampton Wanderers (a) sponsored by Sammy Chung

I am not arsed with this, Wolves are a good prem team, we were never going to win. What is more concerning is the fact we can't score against mediocre championship teams and seem to continue to give cheap goals away. We brought quality in, it's up to the manager to start producing results and stop ...

Re: Who do you want in Round Three?

Awful. Disagree, it’s the perfect tie. Limited expectation, no incentive to go to the game, yet facing opponents who are winless in the league and the last thing they need in a congested fixture schedule is to host a championship side on the up. A fabulous chance to reach Round 4 and give the fring...

paultheroyal Are bookies ever wrong?

We are the firm favourites to get relegated.

I lumped on us at 28/1 to get promoted last night. Clearly it’s not likely but we all know that championship success is not determined in the first few months of the season, so who knows what may happen if the new signings gel.

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

It's a weird idea isn't it, that the amount of noise is less important than how aggressive and nasty is or who it is aimed at. I think his username gives it away - stuck in the past of unnecessary abuse. Think of the best atmospheres at sporting events of recent times and none of it is gladiatorial...

Re: Fixtures for 2019/2020

As previously mentioned, almost certainly a home game to start with owing to the festival on the 4th weekend. not normally midweek fixtures in the early weeks, I`ll go for a northern side, Middlesbrough. This is incorrect - there has been a midweek round of games in August in each of the last 5 sea...

CountryRoyal Our pricing is and has been incredible. They could put it up 20% and it would still represent comparatively good value.

Yes, we can criticise the owners / management for much in the last 15 years, but we ticket pricing is not one of those areas.

Arguably the best value consistently in the country.

Re: Rival Watch

agreed you should play to the whistle, that's the law, but the Leeds player feigned putting the ball out of play, the Villa players stopped for 5 seconds, then the Leeds player initiated the attacking move. Bielsa was definitely correct in what he did. I think they only did because they've basicall...

Talking of which ^^^^ Five minutes of pure. classic, dirty Leeds … 0-0, Kodija kicked out the game, lying injured, Leeds don't put the ball out, dummy to put the ball out, go on instead, score, heavy handbags ensue in penalty area and touchline, Bamford fakes being head-butted and gets Villa man se...
