Re: Rumour - Olise to Leeds

Starting to worry a bit for Moore tbh. He'll be tough to shift as it is, and seems the fanbase is starting to turn against him and his pay packet from whats on here. I'd certainly think it best for all parties if he did move on He’s been a cracking player for us but is someone we can replace withou...

Re: Rumour - Olise to Leeds

I would hope selling Swift and Moore would be the priority allowing us to keep Olise. Moore’s wages are a massive burden. We need to offload him. I really want us to keep hold of Olise especially if Swift goes. Starting to worry a bit for Moore tbh. He'll be tough to shift as it is, and seems the f...

Re: On this day

Yes, as it was half a century ago, I can't remember much about the game except it was a massive crowd, probably the highest attendance I was in at Elm Park and The Biscuitmen did well and gave the Mighty U's a bit of a fright. It was the only time I saw Denis Law, Bobby Charlton etc. "in the f...

Re: Rival Watch

tidus_mi2 I suspect Fulham will win tonight, Brentford don't do well in the play-offs, much like us.

8 attempts, no promotions. However they can join us and Sheffield United on 4 Final defeats tonight.

I didn’t realise that was their record, it’s worse than ours.

Re: Osho - best crosser of the ball at the club. Discuss.

Big shame this - liked the look of him at rb So at present, we have no back up rb or lb! Sigh. Araruna and Watson. Isn’t Araruna a midfielder & the same Watson who hasn’t been anywhere near the first team in years? Personally I wouldn’t call them backups Araruna can play right back too but he’s...

Re: Osho - best crosser of the ball at the club. Discuss.

Watson is injury prone and done next to nothing out on loan at a lower level. Bowen clearly doesn’t rate Aruruna who has barely featured. But they do exist in the squad. Watson was very promising until his injury. He could recover. Maybe. Adding to that, Osho had probably done even less out on loan...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

If we are looking at an £18 million salary cap then how can we justify keeping Moore whose wages will eat up about 10% of that cap? He still has three years on his contract too.

Re: Squad for 2020/21

Going back to my OP I now make it that we have a first team squad of 20 left as follows - with 5 possible players who might step up from the Academy next season in brackets: G-Cabral/Walker RB-Yaidom/Watson (Southwood) CB-Moore/Morrison/McIntyre (Holmes) LB- Richards CM-Swift/Rino/Laurent/Araruna (...

Re: Osho - best crosser of the ball at the club. Discuss.

According to Talk Reading, the contract that Osho was offered was 50% of what he was on when he was a second year pro at 19 years old. Surely that's bullshit, but no wonder he didn't accept it if it's true. Yeah just came on here to say this. If true it’s bloody ridiculous. It is absolutely essenti...

Re: Swift to... Southampton

Absolutely. Goals in the Championship are the hardest and most important thing to come, it's why clubs always used to sign Kevin Phillips for a promotion campaign. But sure, Ross McCormack is the highest scoring championship player and he has never been promoted. Goals may be important but never sh...
