Re: Pre season tour

Gomes needs to give Mcnulty a run out against peterborough but he wont It was implied he refused to travel to Spain. Fcuk him if so. I can see why he refused to go. He’s been treated pretty shabbily. Hardly given a chance upfront and then loaned out at the first opportunity and then isolated from t...

Re: CONFIMRED - Liam Kelly

He commented that the squad never felt in danger of relegation the season before last. Which is worrying. And Gomes publically criticised his attitude (and performance) post Sheff U. So there's enough to speculate on.0 Oh and some melts are upset because he posted some social stuff on social media ...

Re: CONFIMRED - Liam Kelly

Good luck to him, under the right management, with the right psychologist, in the right conditions (e.g. not struggling to stay up in a very psychical league) he can be amazing, a real talent. Sadly those conditions are unlikely to be present in our near future, so probably the best for both parties.

£2m for him would be ridiculous, 5 times that should be the starting point.

God we've got a long off season coming up if a few weeks in we're already onto whether hair colour affects people's perceptions of players.

Re: Next Season's Squad.

windermereROYAL Danny Williams released by Huddersfield, would take him back in a heartbeat.

Suspect that money would be a major barrier. He's also a player that plays best when his next contract is on the line.

Re: Next Season's Squad.

Don't mean this as a dig at Meyler, but seeing him tweet about 'be seeing Andy Rinomhota soon' etc, does remind you how much the board etc have to do in the next couple of weeks. Letting the ooc players go is the easy bit. Finding willing takers for players in contract on good money, even if lettin...

Re: McShane leaves

Top, top player for the first two seasons, unfortunately he seemed to bear the brunt of the breakdown between fans and the club, which culminated in the Stevenage debacle, good luck to him in whatever he does next. Given that we got him on a free we both got a decent deal, but definitely the right t...

Nameless Don't Sheff Utd claim lineage from Sheffield FC ?

They can claim lineage in the way that Liverpool can claim lineage from Everton, but they definitely aren't the same club. Sheffield FC still play in level 8.

Re: BFT(final)G

With the loanees, loaning out players can be an absolute minefield as to what style they'll play and how often they get on the pitch. If I were Liverpool I'd be pretty happy with how much game time and responsibility got put on Ejaria. Hence I reckon that he's fairly likely to be back, perhaps with ...

Re: BFT(final)G

Was going to post but my ratings would be pretty much the same. Rinomhota down one and ejaria down two and the rest are equal Thought Gunter put in four absolute teasing crosses in the first half, but did nothing in the second half. He’s shown he can do it but he seems to retreat to his shell too o...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h) sponsored by Timbuk 3

Utterly dominant half there. Olise has got into good positions and is very good, but clearly just needs some time to settle in and get finishing. Barrett needs to buck his attitude up, but is also getting into good positions. Gunter has had a great half, lots of good crosses, covered masses of groun...

Chameleon Olise probably should have had two, getting into good positions.

Have you got a stream now?

Re: Which of the loanees would you prioritise?

Selling Moore would be an utter white flag as to any ambitions to be anything other than bottom feeders, and even if we get £7m for him then we'd probably spend 2/3rds of that on replacements and still not find someone as good, and that's all before you factor in that he brings a lot aside from his ...

Re: Liam Moore Interview

If they haven't done so already, it would be worth paying some really smart accountants to try to identify ways in which we can spend teh money that the Dai's want to invest but still stay within the FFP rules. The rich manage to do it with tax and I doubt the FFP rules are any harder/more watertig...

Re: Liam Moore Interview

It's commendable to put yourself out there like that as a Pro footballer, and he sounds like a good chap, emphasising that effort > talent a lot in the interview, which is one of those things that is very much the reading way. When we have overachieved (under McDermott especially) it has been becaus...

Re: Which of the loanees would you prioritise?

Listening to the CEO tonight, they will be shipping out the top earners That will be Swift, MOORE, McCleary, Gunter for starters They have to ship out the top earners, players getting "too much" for RFC's position/status So that means loanees, Academy players, and league 1-2 punts I like ...
