Re: Next Season's Squad.

I'm not massively gutted if Oliviera isn't joining as long as we do sign someone. It's gone quiet on the Hooper front but I wouldn't be too disappointed if it was him.

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

FIFA officially recognise them as being the oldest club in the world and awarded them the Order of Merit as a result but I guess you know better than the world governing body.

Who said anything about United or Wednesday?

Just expressing concern for the world's oldest club.

Re: The 4 needed to complete the team

Much as I appreciate your enthusiasm, signing either shit players or players we can't afford is precisely what is got us in this mess in the first place, but hey, it's the weekend and I'll have some of what you're smoking. Who would you go for then? Generally, we are going to have to go a bit more ...

Bad was a hard working and honest player in a squad where too many couldn't be arsed and a decent bloke by all accounts.

I wish him well.

Re: Jose “3-4 Signings This Week”

I think Joorabchian is involved with anyone willing to pay for his services and to be fair, I don't have a massive problem with him getting paid £1m if he can broker 4 long term loan deals in key positions with zero wage commitment like he allegedly did in January. It's about 2 days work for him.

Well, you could give the old "flamboyant continental not hacking it on a cold December night in Barnsley" shite a miss, it's so Ron Atkinson, 1991.

John Smith's been hacked by a random cliche generating spambot and it's actually an improvement.

Another season in League 1 so they've got to make savings somewhere.

Nice of Sleaford Mods to model the Leeds kit though. Here's their new away kit

I'd like to think that considering one of our owners has lived and run companies in Britain for nearly 30 years and has British citizenship, that such stereotypes might not be applicable.

Personally, I walk to away games.

I suppose you could get the tram in Manchester and Sheffield and the ferry to Tranmere.

This is Reading, not many do If even 1% of those who regularly attend Reading's matches answer the survey, he'll have more than enough - from just this one team. Why do some people feel obliged to post a negative comment about absolutely everything? Have filled in the survey. I'd like to know the p...

Re: Jack Stacey

Antonio was shite for us. Constantly tripped over the ball and when he did have it under control the crowd were more in danger of getting on the end of his crosses than his team mates were. He needed to leave to develop. Just because he's gone on to have a fairly decent career in the Premier League...

Re: Jack Stacey

The obvious answer is we wouldn't have had to sign Nick Blackman in January and give him 11 PL games, if we hadn't got rid of Antonio. Similar lower league record to Antonio and played in the same position. Signed for far more money than we received for Antonio. Clear and obvious error from the clu...

Re: Jack Stacey

Are you suggesting that in 2012, Antonio warranted being picked in the Premiership ahead of McAnuff, McCleary, Robson-Kanu and Kebe? He chose to take a step back to the Championship, where he felt he couldn't get regular games, which incidentally was still a league above where he had played the bul...

Re: Rival Watch

Didn't he originally sign on loan from Torino then try to wriggle out of the agreed permenant move because a better offer came along?

Always came across as an arrogant prick who thinks he's better than he is.

Re: CONFIMRED - Liam Kelly

Mixed feelings too. On his day, he's a great little player but his day only seemed to occur under Stam, in a team high on confidence which to me suggests a lack of adaptability and maybe work ethic.

Hope he does well at Feyenoord and it's probably the best move for all parties.
