Re: BFTG - Luton

Thought about going to the game, but it was really wet out so I decided to go for a really late pub lunch at the Lyndhurst. Pretty good food to be fair, 8/10. What you have SP? Veggie Lasagne and chips (double carbing is a bit 1970s I know but apparently this is what Theresa May served up at Cheque...

Re: VAR

VAR working perfectly at Old Trafford! LOL yeah, can someone who bothers to know about these things explain why the United goal was allowed? United 'foul' is subjective, however... any handball in the box that results in a goal is automatically disallowed (my understanding of the new rule) Kicks th...

Re: BFTG Preston (H)

Thought about going to the game but decided against it, instead popped to Fun and Frolic to pick up my annual fireworks supplies. Rounded it off with a pint in the Retreat, so all round pretty good day. Thanks for your support yesterday m8. You’re very welcome Zip, but it’s nothing I wouldn’t expec...

Re: BFTG Bristol

Decided not to go to the game, met up with Mrs SP in the Eldon aka Weather something as she’d not been before. Then went to the Retreat to watch the scores come in on BT score. Lovely afternoon all in all.

Re: BFT ???????????????????????????????????????????

Had no idea there was a game last night until one of my year 9s told me. Didn't got to the game and instead went to the Hop Leaf for a few pints and a chat with a mate I'd not seen in a while. Walked home in the chilly autumnal air which I much prefer to the damp humidity of last week, and was in be...

Re: Bristol City (A)

Nah, f[u]ck that noise. Let's charge the bastards the earth like they do us. Why? Financially, it’ll make little difference, in fact we may earn more as bigger away crowds = more beer and food sales. And the greater the away backing, the more home defeats for us! Ok...the poor tactics are more of a...

Re: Bristol City (A)

And? Contributing to the destruction of football fan culture is a bad thing. Why? Because more expensive tickets=older fans, and older fans=more passive sedentary fans=death of the spontaneous and improvising ‘terrace’ culture’. And it’s that culture that makes football unique amongst spectator spo...

sandman Why not?

Because as a club we’ll be contributing to the destruction of football fan culture, all for a bit of loose change that’ll make no noticeable difference to club finances.

Re: Bristol City (A)

I think it’s good that we only charge £20. It’s the right thing to do so f/ck what everyone else does. If other clubs want to be c/nts let them. At the end of the day we’re all Football fans, if someone from somewhere else in the country has an enjoyable and slightly more economical day out because...

excellent stuff what else have you done on your trip? Hi...We have been using the Madhouse Hotel as our base since touring the English West Country. Taking in the Plymouth game. Bit disappointed with the 2-0 loss against Charlton, but hay what the hell we are still over the moon to be in England an...

Re: New beefeater

There's a pub right next to the football ground at St James' Park, Exeter, right in the middle of the student area, and within walking distance of what must be thousands of households. It was my local when I studied there. Still manages to struggle. St anne’s Well? Its only redeeming factor is the ...

Anyone got a link to a free streaming site? I'm bed ridden with a stomach bug so can't watch it down the local.
