Re: How good is Yakou Meite?

I agree with the above that he’s a steal and we’re lucky to have him. I don’t think his technical ability quite matches the rest of him and it makes him look a bit ragged at times. I think he’s quite a smart footballer as in he knows what he needs to do, where he needs to be and how he needs to do ...

Re: BFS - Bristol City (H)

Just watched the goals again and it’s such a brilliant run by Meite for the third, plus a fantastic run, control and turn by Joao. Don’t tell anyone but he scuffed the shot a little, as if I care.

Re: FA cup 3rd round draw

Yep would also prefer a team from the prem, champ or the leagues below. With the fixture congestion as it is going out early would be no bad thing. Would also prefer a home or an away game too. I assume clubs will have fans back by then so should make a difference if so. So that’ll be any team then

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (h) sponsored by Scott Murray

Joao worked harder today. Absolutely fantastic performance today. I think he’s now got 13 goals and 5 assists from 15 games this season which is ridiculous. I’m not sure I’ve seen a better centre forward at our club. He just needs to work harder at times because he is a PL quality player in every o...

Re: BFS - Bristol City (H)

Not watched much this season for a variety of reasons and expected Ejaria to be slowing stuff down but none of it.

Holmes pretty good defensively, Olise different class and how the hell can anyone keep Joao quiet - he scores when he wants

I’ll leave it to others to mark individually

Re: SpuROFLs

Fair play to Jose, clearly his defensive approach at previous clubs was just playing to strengths of the relevant clubs. With Spurs he is fully exploiting the embarrassment of attacking riches he has at his disposal. Born to win. Spurs will win the league this year. Not sure a league win during the...

Re: The footballer gets arrested thread

Looking at the pic of Ryan's Giggs missus a week on, sporting a bruised and fat lip, i would go as far to say his football managerial career both internationally and domestically are all but over. I assume you’re assuming (and you might be right) that RG is responsible for said injuries. Also assum...

Re: England - the future....

Can anyone remind me why or when Southgate shifted to such negative tactics? It's the former that puzzles me. Maybe I'm misremembering, but seems to be that Southgate's original sides played attacking, expansive football and won matches. The current team plays awful, dull, functional football and w...

Re: Nations League & Friendlies

Fvck me that was tense, mainly thanks to Clarke's mismanagement, how he let that woeful Serb side back in to it I'll never know. Although on the other hand if their goalscorer had started we'd have been under much more pressure for the whole game. Just booked June 18th off, that's going to be a fun...

Re: VAR

Instead of feet, how about hips or torso? And FFS, introduce a "Referee's call". If its not obvious after 20 seconds with a freeze frame then its within the realms of human error. If its not obvious, its not wrong. If cricket can make a decision in a minute with a no ball camera, snickome...

Re: VAR

windermereROYAL The offside law is so outdated, bring it into the modern world FFS, instead of any part of your body being offside change it to any part of your body is onside then you are ok, then its clear daylight for you to be off.

Sadly, that’ll simply change the positioning of the ridiculous lines.
