Re: The Non - League thread

Binfield 0 : 1 Bracknell . Good hard fought win against the noisy neighbours who were desperate to derail the promotion charge. Some rather robust challenges and a clueless referee combined to make it a feisty encounter. Another game in hand ticked off and won. It was a good result against a very g...

Re: New Manager Odds

Flashback to 2003.

'Uninspiring' was just about the nicest comment I heard from Reading fans about the appointment of Steve Coppell.

Re: Relegation

The chances of us going down are probably a bit less than we think. Fans tend to over react to results and performances of their own team. That said, I too have snaffled some of the 8/1 which is a completely ridiculous price and in no way reflects the chances of it happening. Probably should be abou...

Re: The Non - League thread

Old Man Andrews The Hellenic league are piss takers. Both Tuffley and Bracknell were happy to switch their fixture to Bracknell's pitch but the league didn't agree it according to the Chairmans tweet.

For a league fixture? Absolutely no chance they are switching it unless there is literally nothing to play for.

Re: The Non - League thread

Slough Town 2-1 Frome Town Slough battered them in the 2nd half and should have scored 4 or 5. Not convinced they will succeed in the play offs unless they get home games. Bit lightweight at the back for me. Nice to win when behind at half time, that’s for sure. Interesting comment re: lightweight ...

Re: The Non - League thread

Its terrible what's happening to dulwich but if it wasn't a London club I suspect it would have zero national media interest. The Rio Ferdinand connection has certainly helped get it some attention too. Ive got mixed feelings about what's happening at Dulwich. Its not nice to see and I hope the fin...

Reading are 5/6 to win tonight. I know we often over react about performances from our own team, but seriously. Odds on?

RG30 You'd be a fool to take 7/1 when you get 9/1 elsewhere

Trying to take an impartial view of this. Because that does look like a good bet for a team that doesn't seem to have the heart for a relegation battle.

Almost there...

Wolves 109
Wigan 109

Do we not hold an unofficial record for the earliest title secured? Man City might best that.

Re: The Non - League thread

Would really like Rodger Herridge to get it in what would be the ultimate non-league swerve. I cant stand the bloke. Seen him and his team twice. He did nothing but berate the officials and his own players in both. He even threatened to take his players off in one of them! If I was in charge at Bin...

Re: The Non - League thread

Went to Melksham 0-1 Thatcham. Big crowd of 2,208. Terrible game, Melksham packed the midfield and Thatcham just looked a bit scared to lose. Although as the game wore on they did look the most likely to score, which they did on 89. Despite the large crowd the atmosphere was also strangely quiet. Ma...

Re: The Non - League thread

They are expecting about 1k apparently. It will be packed. Capacity can't be much more than that as it is quite narrow, especially behind the goals. I am planning to be in ( the bar) by 2pm latest just in case. Probably wildly inaccurate but the most I think I've seen at Bracknell was about 1000 fo...

Re: The Non - League thread

Planning on doing one of the Vase ties this weekend as well. Either going to Melksham or Bracknell. Bracknell will be the better game I think, but its not a 'tick'. What is the capacity at Bracknell? Cant be much more than 1500 surely there is very little room around the pitch? Might be an old fashi...

Re: Who still thinks Reading will avoid relegation...

If you are so certain Reading are going down, there is plenty of 7/1 still available.
