Re: Stadium renaming

After submitting my suggestion of "The Biscuit Tin" and stating that I don't want the name to change, but money talks and any new name won't stick with the fans/locals, so why not change it...... I got the following message: Your submission has been received. If it is used anywhere on Mirr...

Re: Wolves (H) Match Thread

Having re-watched the goals on tv, I think Blackman was unlucky to concede an own goal whereas Obita was definatelty to blame for the other two.

Meridian Tonight - Andrew Pate yet again gets Jake Taylor's last name wrong, I can't remember what he said but it was nothing like Taylor.

Re: The truth about Royston...

Big Foot I notice that one of the accounts he gave 2 of the tickets to, is someone who's got 0 posts, 0 followers & follows 0 people on Instagram.
Could be someone with no friends, in which case why do they need 2 tickets?

Re: Confimred new owners of Reading Football Club

Ian Royal STAR have less than 1% iirc.
Perhaps instead of donating away funds collected from membership fees and donations they should save up in the hope that shares may become available at a future date.

Re: Confimred new owners of Reading Football Club

Don't forget STAR and possibly a few others own shares in Reading FC, The 50%/25%/25% presumably relates to the holding company who own most of the shares and a controlling interest in Reading FC. STAR have less than 1% iirc. All the minor shareholders (there are quite a lot) own less than 1% combi...

If Twitter was around in the 70's / 80's I can imagine Jimmy Saville posting a similar tweet offering 5 spare tickets to a recording of Top of the pops.

Re: Confimred new owners of Reading Football Club

JM should leave RFC to its new owner to decide how the club should be run, you dont sell your house ,then carry on living in it ,do you? He sold everything , to my mind 50%+25%+25%=100% so JM where does your 10% come from??????? A better question is where does your 10% figure come from? There were ...

Re: 2018 World Cup to be relocated?

EVERYONE knows we could host it tomorrow. That's why we'll never get it. Agreed, You can't get backhanders from construction firms if there isn't anything there that needs constructing...... or a less cynical view might be that having the World Cup in Great Britain won't have any lasting legacy as ...

Re: Confimred new owners of Reading Football Club

Why hasn't there been a press conference to introduce the new owners of the club? You'd think it was pretty integral to the club's future and important to the fans to know who these people are. But silence. I imagine SJM will parade them before the next home game and hog the microphone and say some...

Re: STAR response to take-over news

Probably best to let them get their feet under the table first and see if they are willing to build a relationship with STAR before expecting them to put their selves in the firing line for questions in a foreign language from a room full of Reading fans of mixed IQ levels moaning about everything f...

Re: Season ticket/member card shambles

It's better than that - I'm pretty sure each turnstile is autonomous and can work offline once loaded with event data Must be every gate not turn style otherwise what's to stop someone with a ticket for gate 4 using it on the left turn-style and passing it though to a mate to use on the right turn ...

Re: Checking STs in one part of East Stand only

Stewards seem to be getting really arsey this season. Was walking up to the gate, wallet out, just fishing out the ST and the stewards goes "Have you got a ticket?" No love i'm just gonna stick my Nectar card in and see if I get lucky. To be fair it wasn't so much being asked but t...

Re: Confimred new owners of Reading Football Club

If he hadn't put money into the club but had it sitting in some nice investment account somewhere I wonder how much income he'd have had.... Still, he's had a helluva lot of good times through RFC so counting the financial loss would be a little Or he could have put it into his printing interests. ...

Re: The truth about Royston...

I think we missed Royston, If he'd been playing I reckon we would have been a lot stronger on the wings and probably got a point, maybe even a win. Such a shame really that Sheffield Wednesday didn't play him.

Re: Confimred new owners of Reading Football Club

Presuming making SJM co-Chairman is just a nod to him for all he's done in the past and was part of the deal when he sold? Because he owns no part of the club now? Would have thought so, and probably more importantly provides continuity, a smoother transitional handing over of the reigns where the ...
