Re: Selles confimred

Selles looks more like a super agent appointment than a Bowen appointment. Surely Noel Hunt would be a better option as it looks like we will be reliant on the U23s stepping up. To me Selles is just another ridiculous and pointless appointment. It looks like Bowen has either been silenced or left. O...

Re: Selles out

Ian it is for me. I doubt Ian could do much worse a job than most of the clowns this club appoints as so called managers and we could at least have fun winding him up on here.

Re: Ruben Selles it is

Hate to say it but I pretty much agree with Millsy on this one. Very odd appointment and it feels like a super agent appointment rather than a Bowen appointment and if so will Bowen walk? If that happens we really do need to be concerned as it seems to me as though he is the last beacon of hope for ...

The only other person linked then was an Israeli bloke who owned an online gambling site and had a net worth of about £30m. Re: New manager rumours and speculation

So we all hope for Wilder and get Selles. Think the owner has made a massive bet on another relegation at the end of the coming season. Still the Blue Square South will be fun.

Re: Dai Yongge Out

The only way Dai can leave is if he finds a buyer with bottomless pockets, the alternative isn`t worth thinking about. People don't understand how debt and business works. He has issued subordinated debt, which comes bottom of the pile in terms of collecting it, after staff, 3rd parties etc., So if...

Did he? Are you thinking of the right person?

I know he's not andrew, but I thought they'd both gone a bit off the rails. Could be wrong.

Re: Reading FC Womens World

It seems sad but the few big teams will most likely prevent the women game ever growing in England - as few if any other teams can compete. Surely the way forward would be to apply PL levy which could be distributed to the smaller Super League and women's Championship clubs to enable them to complet...

Re: Potential New Owners

I'm lost with where we are with the debt now, but someone recently suggested £200m. Whatever the debt, they would then need to either lease or buy the Stadium and Training Ground back as well. That doesn't always work out well. Assuming the debt against the football club is £200M and this does not ...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Shame to see another young talent move to one of the big boys Academy structures. I cannot help thinking that Fletcher would have been better to stay here and maybe even get some first team experience next season. Cream rises to the top and if he really is that good he would have made it here and th...

Re: The squad in July

Pretty much all the contract decisions were as expected. I was a tad surprised Scott was released because he was talked about positively at times. But we don't know what goes on behind the scenes in terms of attitude etc. Two young players that were not mentioned were Paul and Holzman and I haven't ...

Royal_jimmy It's taking ages to confirm who's being released

Last year our retained list was issued on 20th May so we might not have too many days to wait.

Re: The squad in July

After watching Gabbi Osho scoring for Luton and potentially becoming a PL player next season, it made me think that if only the club had more faith in our Academy products and played them, rather than constantly bringing in loan players from bigger clubs and playing them instead, we might not be in ...

Re: The squad in July

I’d be happy enough if Southwood stayed as first choice next year. He’s obviously had a good season and would be cheap and he has experience now Prob wouldn’t waste the likely higher wage on Lumley Totally agree. If he willing to re-sign I think Southwood would do a good job as number 1 and we need...

Needle Twitter has lit up with Wilder speculation

Would be good if true but I think he will likely get better offers. He does have a good record for building squads for promotion.

Looks like it. Second to virtually every ball. The club really is at a low ebb.

Re: CONFIMRED - Relegation

Two massive turning points for, the six point deduction and the Carroll red card. Without Carroll being sent off we may well have beaten both Luton and Wigan. It would be interesting to know who knew what and when about the likelihood of the six points. Since the new year I have had the impression ...

Re: CONFIMRED - Relegation

I cannot help feeling this relegation has been slowly coming ever since the play off final defeat 6 ears ago. The club has gradually become like a sickly dog whose health has deteriorated slowly until it had to be put down. Now we have a fresh start as most of the big earners will be gone this summe...

Re: Relegation permutations

The next 7 days have an air of inevitability about them. First Sheffield will beat Huddersfield and Reading will go to Huddersfield next Monday with renewed hope just needing a win. But the payers won't create much and it will be the play off all over again as the two teams grind out a 0-0 bore draw...

Re: Reading FC Womens World

I have watched quite a lot of our WSL games this season and I have to say the ladies have been a tad unlucky in a number of games. It just seems like the club is blighted this season and it does look like a double relegation is on the cards.
