Re: Rumour - Azeez to Liverpool

Exclusives has unsurprisingly called bollocks on this one.

Re: Rumour - Baba Rahman

Purely because of injuries I’m not sure if Baba was actually a sensible signing to make. We realistically need someone who can play 40 games a season in his position and Baba has barely played that many over last six years combined. Hopefully his injuries are behind him as no one can doubt his quali...

Re: Relegation

There's no need for sympathy. If we had been promoted then would all be smiles and this conversation won't even be happening. Brentford found a way. A better model. Our problems are self inflicted, but it’s more the EFL haven’t really helped us. As the main protection that limits the power of the o...

Re: Relegation

As much as our owners have invested, I do feel we are experiencing the long term consequences of their want to just spend lots of money and we have no idea who they even are. I hope when our FFP issues are behind us the EFL do more to monitor championship clubs finances in the future, but they won’...

Re: Rumour - Kyle Edwards

QPR were an even worse version of us all those years ago with FFP, they only recently got out of it. Now they constantly scout for homegrown, young players not quite good enough yet, but they give them a year in the championship then they’re assets the next season. Not afraid to pay for the more exp...

Re: England - the future....

He has ideas. That's why he's become the first England manager ever to make both a tournament semi-final and final, and he's done it consecutively. Immediacy can be for the playground. We're on to a good thing with Southgate as England manager. Personally I'd give him the job for as long as he want...

Re: England - the future....

We never had such a good shot at winning both the World Cup and Euros as we did over the last three years. Even the most extreme of Southgate’s backers would be annoyed at his game management there, especially after he made the exact same mistake against Croatia. Those games were when that midfield...

Re: Pauno In! Appreciation Thread

I’d honestly be indifferent if he went. He’s not done badly considering- lack of squad depth, virtually no signings, the fatal error of not being able to bring anyone in during January. However, he needs to stop rushing players back from injury (although he seems to be showing signs of learning his ...

Re: European Super League

Guardian reporting because the government promised the FA they will pass any law they can to support them, the FA were able to credibly threaten to refuse work permits and suspend these teams.

Big oof.

To top it all off, both AC Milan and Inter Milan are leaving so the whole things being suspended.

Re: European Super League

Surely they knew the outrage it would cause? Or are they that detached from reality and incompetent that they didn't foresee the backlash? They did see the outrage, they had every move planned. What they didn’t know was that the British government would intervene and as no one can stop them from pa...

Re: European Super League

This is quite incredible how quickly some have caved, I’ve never seen anything cause such an outrage on social media to this scale. I hope anyone that withdraws still get punished for their outrageous greed because they absolutely do not deserve to act like nothing happened, which unfortunately won’...

Re: Finances

I do sometimes wish we had sensible owners that were wealthy enough to run the club but not so wealthy we don’t spend to this level of insane. Blame Gourlay all we like, they allowed this to happen, spending 16m in 19/20 just shows that. I love the fact someone wants to spend millions on my local c...

Re: Bowen v. Paunović

Both have ultimately been average however we have looked like being a premier league team in the future more often under Paunovic than Bowen. Bowen had absolutely no plan B when Lucas Joao was injured.

was gravenberch a) the biggest + b) the crappest defender we've ever signed? Zat Knight was pretty terrible.
