Re: Ex Players

South Coast Royal The commentator of Stevenage's game at Oxford during the week said that Nesta Guinness-Walker is the great grandson of Sir Alec Guinness.
That one passed me by if indeed it was common knowledge in his time here.

I always thought Nesta was a bit stout

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

The last thing we'd need to end the season with is a Blackpool pitch invasion for getting in the play-offs. Is that even likely if they make it? No, Blackpool fans won’t invade the pitch if they make the playoffs That day against Burnley was doubly embarrassed. Not just because we missed out, but a...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

If it is announced as complete before Saturday, then that will be an amazing way to end a trying campaign. Carefree home game, with potentially close to a 20k crowd. Party time. "Party time"-we need at least a draw to stop Blackpool's outside chance of making the top 6 and possible promot...

Re: Football Rel8d Gripes

Sutekh England never getting the world cup finals despite being one of the few nations with the infrastructure to be able to meet FIFA's ever increasing, over the top demands.

It’s odd, I can’t quite work out why places like Russia and Qatar get chosen :D

Re: Football Rel8d Gripes

Topical: fans (and now clubs apparently) immediately leaping to corruption over bad refereeing decisions, rather than the far simpler explanation of them just being useless. Buying those 36 left backs 2 summers ago is really coming back to bite Forest on the arse. Just a thought, are they in the sa...

Not currently rivals, but what a bunch of twats. "Cardiff City is taking legal action against FC Nantes, seeking €120.2 million following a study suggesting they had a 54.2% chance of avoiding relegation with Emiliano Sala. They plan to submit an invoice of €120.2m to the French club." If...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

All shows that the side has been relatively inconsistent this side and are pretty much just as likely to beat a promotion chasing side as they are to lose to one about to get relegated. Feels like most sides in division are inconsistent. Few at top a bit better, few at bottom a bit worse, teams in ...

NathStPaul How much money was raised over the required/requested amount please?

If you click on the funding link at the start of this thread you can see.

Seems like a lot of effort.

Just intrigued to know if more was donated than required and where the spare money is going if that was the case.

Re: Weekend Football

This is always my feeling. Offside pre-VAR was a lot more around actually being in front of other players, anything reasonably level was deemed fine. What i will say is this, we are the only country that does it like this. You don't get these situations in the Bundesliga, you dont get them in UEFA ...

I bought it slightly slimmer days, so it's only an M size.
