Re: Anyone who is against big-decision video evidence

Albert Spangler If we score more goals then these decisions against us won't matter.

Scoring goals doesn't appear to be a problem for us; it's conceding them that is the biggest concern.

Re: RUMOUR - Jermaine Defoe

It was never on in the first place, and we ne'er even spoke to Defoe ffs. Yes we did We absolutely did speak to him, and he also expressed an interest in coming here; but because it's such an ambitious move, some corners just wont accept it's genuine. Most were the same with our attempt to bring Si...

Re: Valley Parade Fire - 1985

I remember a game at Elm Park where the North Stand was evacuated for a fire, against Notts County I believe. Everyone in the North stand and the players had to go/stay on the pitch. I think it was a burger kiosk that caught alight. That was an old man with a pipe burning in his pocket. I don't rec...

Re: Anti-Reading sentiment

Born 'n Bred Royal We all know the BBC seem to brush Reading aside without a moment's thought, but after our pretty poor start to the season has anyone else noticed that nearly every pundit and even every neutral fan have been quick to say how poor and lacking in ideas we are!

Yes, but we are.

Re: The Great Keeper Deb8

Federici's girlfriend and family have been quite vocal about his being dropped. Knee injury? Don't buy into it, the club were only trying to protect him while taking him out of the firing line. His and his families reaction is not helping matters. Not surprising though; we've seen this before from h...

Re: Aaron Lennon, RVV, and Scott Parker

I know there is absolutely NO shot that we will get any of these players, but they have all been put up for transfer by tottenham according to FL. I would love to have any of them but their price tags are probably to high. specifically Raphael Van Der Vaart would be incredible. They will probably g...

Re: TSI - The Promises, Policies & Progress Thread

You see, Mr Mad said at the beginning of this TSI thing that the stadium name would remain the same, and I did say at that time that as TSI are majority shareholders, albeith with 51% against his 49% they could do whatever they bloody liked and he'd be powerless  Anton has said himself that st...

Re: The Great Keeper Deb8

It's far too early to drop him. That would be very harsh; but there's no getting away from the fact he's had two very poor games, and as a result his confidence will be rock bottom. What he needs is encouragement, not barracking! If he has 4 or 5 bad games out of the next handful of fixtures then ye...

Re: TSI - The Promises, Policies & Progress Thread

In an interview tonight he said he wanted to make Reading one of the top 10 'financial powers' in English football. At least I think he said English - it might have been 'world football' Within five years yes, and I think it was in English football. He certainly thinks big. Lets just hope h...

Re: TSI - The Promises, Policies & Progress Thread

I received a bit of stick on here when I first mentioned that Boris Zingarevich was also involved, was a billionaire (and three times over), and had to take part in the Fit and Proper Persons Test. It's still not clear if his money has been used, if he's involved in any way, or will be at a later da...

Re: Back from the Game - Stoke City (H)

I found the first half frustrating. So many passes given away. I thought Gunter was poor, Leigertwood struggled to put his stamp on the game, Hal Robson-Kanu was also poor, Federici's clanger was disappointing, but he will save us plenty of times in the coming games and will get over that; and Pogre...

Re: TSI - The Promises, Policies & Progress Thread

The Daily Mail have had an interview planned with AZ for a couple of weeks. They were trying to tie him down when he returned to the UK last week. I don't know if they've sat down yet, but I'm hoping we hear a bit more about the clubs plans/intentions etc, rather than more of what we've already hea...
