So far it has gone pretty much how i thought it might. The first 5-6 games were not too difficult on paper and we came away with a good amount of points. October was always going to be difficult, in fact i think it will be the most difficult period of the season. We need to get the Liverpool game out the way and then start again, because there are points to be won in Tottenham at home, Charlton at home and Fulham away- 6 points would be my target. The homes games against Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal all coming together was not ideal but i think it is a reminder to fans that Reading will lose their fair share of games this season and with perhaps similar scorelines.

My major worry so far is that in the games we have won none have been entirely convincing. I look at Charlton at home and think if we can dish out a 2 or 3 nil victory it will serve as a remider to other teams that we can dispose of teams without having to grind out a victory. My other worry is Kitson, our various injuries and our lack depth still and options in reserve. We really need to make some use of the January window when it comes. 10th in the league though is a great achievement so far- we just need to make sure that we are not undone by injuries of lack of options in our back up.
