I think it will be Middlesborough away on the 24th February.

Yes and no - in any season there are various milestones to be ticked off and the first is always "avoid relegation" so the 40 point mark cannot be ignored. Plus, the earlier we get to 40 points, the more confidence the team will have to kick on to get around the 60 mark.
