Royal Lady
Victor Meldrew Just back from the game which looked like a relegation contest with both sides afraid of losing and not being brave enough to try to win the game.
In a match crying out for somebody to put their foot on the ball can anyone explain to me why Little spent all that time warming up but only eventually came on in the 91st minute?
I reckon it's because he's not nearly fully fit. I think he was only bench because we basically didn't have anyone else. I think Copps only put him on the bench on Weds because of the same reason and then when Hunty went off and he replaced him, it knackered him to death as he was not fully fit and he only put him on in the last minute to waste time and to ensure that Little would not get injured further.

I'm with RL on this but have we really got no-one else we can put on the bench?

Are Halls and De La Cruz still with us? If so, they must either be badly injured or really shyte! The latter is meant to be an attack minded defender, in which case he could have come on to put poor old Bikey out of his misery (he may have talents but he certainly isn't a right back!).

EASTENDER MARKY Shocking football. Watford don't deserve to be in the premiership playing like that. Watford on 909 on way home said that, that was one of the better preformances of the season.

I would agree with you.

We performed better than against Sheffield United and Chelsea but that's about it!

Of the 0-0s we have had the Villa and Spurs home games were much more entertaining and exciting (from both teams..maybe because we still had some confidence then!)

well I'll stick up for Watford. They've drawn exactly half their games in the Premiership and if you add in their one win, that means more than 50% of the League cannot beat them.

Agree and they are good at what they do, problem for them is that with 11 points from 16 games if they continue the way they are, they wil frustrate teams and they will pick up points, but, they will also get relegated so they lose in the long run.

agree with that too.

I want three teams to be adrift at the bottom asap. Watford seem destined to be one of those. But if they are replaced by somebody else (Fulham, Blackburn or whoever) I would not mind at all.

I know things can turn round but it does look increasingly like Charlton and Watford will be in the bottom 3 all season and go down with 1 other from (probably) West Ham/Sheff Utd/Newcastle/Middlesbrough/Fulham/Man City or Fulham; Sheff Utd favourites in my view as I think others around the drop zone have enough, just.

Yes we are good at keeping clean sheets and not letting many in but not scoring clearly which is a problem in any league.

Last season we let in about 54 but scored 70 hence our promotion when probably we didn't always play that well mainly at home.

But, in my and most people's opinion, it is better to start solid and improve on that. Get the defence sorted good and early and you have can subsequently improve the forward line with less worry.
