It's quite amazing our striking options, especially when you rewind 2 years ago when the feeling was "keep Kitson quiet, keep Reading quiet" and now we're blessed with striking options.

FWIW's, unless Doyle does something spectacular or Lita/Kitson get injured, then we'll see the 2 up front until posibly Charlton away, with the 2 games in 3 days where SC may tinker with the squad rotation system.

Archie's penalty The only problem is the Lita/Doyle partnership doesn't really work.

Worked well enough last season

I'm not sure if it did really. At that point in the season Doyle was scoring all the goals and Lita wasn't getting any (until Chelsea away). Coppell even brought Seol in for a while up front as Doyle and Lita weren't clicking. When they (Doyle/Lita) play up front together they make runs which don't co-ordinate. That's why I would have to agree with earlier writers that the best partnership is anyone with Kitson. I think Doyle has the edge in this respect normally but Lita is playing so well at the moment you can't drop him. It is nice to have such a wealth of striking options though and what with Long playing well for the Republic it's all looking pretty rosy!

Personally I think Kits/Doyle is our best partnership too. But even though i'm not a huge fan of lita i'm happy enough with any partnership we have with the 3 at the moment. Each has their strengths and weaknesses

1871 Royal
Archie's penalty
1871 Royal Kitson & Doyle - My #1 partnership.

Think Lita is in too good form to drop him. Kitson on the other hand ain't. The only problem is the Lita/Doyle partnership doesn't really work. It's a canundrum. In line with Coppell's policy I'm pretty sure that it'll be Kitson and Lita with Doyle ready to put the cat amongst the pidgeons with a super-sub performance...

You could be right there. I think Doyle & Kitson work better. Doyle is always looking for Kitsons little flicks, whereas Lita might not be.

Lita too good to drop at the moment it is all about players in form and for me the best Partnership V's Spurs would be Kitson/Lita and possibly playing an extra cover on the wing to combat lennon (gunarsson)?
