Safe on Monday?

by Dirk Gently » 06 Apr 2007 21:31

May I be the first to point out that if West Ham don't win both their matches this weekend and if we don't lose tomorrow and then beat Charlton on Monday - then we are mathematically safe!

We'll be on a high too when we bash Liverpool to the tune of 8-3 8)

BLOLunts have been sucked into the equation, too...if they lose their next two and our guys do as Dirk says, then West Ham's results over the same span would be irrelevant to us.

I think.

EDIT: Actually, even one draw and one loss (at best) for Sheff Y'all 'twixt tomoz and Monday, plus the RFC scenario, would do it

No, we're not.

Watford can't overtake us, and West Ham & Charlton can both get a maximum of 47 points. We now have 45, so 1 more win for us (or West Ham & Charlton both losing) will make us mathematically safe.
