Donating wages...

by crossie » 12 Apr 2007 23:40

I can't find any mention of this anywhere, so Dodd me if you will (i am a bit thick...) but i heard on Reading 107 that the players will be donating all of their wages for the last game of the season (Blackburn away) to charity. so they will be playing for free.

has this ever been done before?

Some clubs (e.g Fulham) and players are doing this on Mayuday for nurses - discussed elsewhere!

West Ham are apparently donating their wages to help the fans travel to the remaining away games this season...

The players won't to give the fans something back as most of the season has been so shite...

I gave up a days wages to the poor employees of Ladbrookes last Saturday. No websites are making a fuss of that!
