stadium

surely expanding the capacity will be a waste of time considering that we can bearly get a full house for any games apart from top 4 and even chelsea tickets were available the day before. the £ should be invested into the team instead of putting it towards empty seats!

30 points by Christmas???????????I doubt very much that is a fact...that would indicate we would be in or around 6th place to have accumulated that number of points by then....I would be very surprised if that is a primary factor behind said plans being shelved.

An interesting theory but I'm not sure that the board would use that criteria.

Imagine if we are on 29 points on December 23rd then win our Boxing Day game !

I think our league position around the turn of the year could be a factor though.

Sure if we are struggling at the turn of the year then you can see the expansion being shelved but thats a world away from an arbitary figure of 30 points which may take a lot longer than Christmas to get to...and thats not being negative merely realistic.

If only there were a club policies forum where this sort of thing could be discussed incessantly.

JM told Sky Sports website a few weeks back that the stadium expansion would go ahead only if we were comfortably mid table at Christmas time.

Sure but that does not necessarily equate to 30 points which we did not hit until after beating West Ham on New Years day last season...so we will have to do better than last years heroics then if what your saying is correct.

He's probably the most relieved man in Reading at the moment.
