Have to agree with this, he will not mature/develop into the english style of play unless he is given a fair chance.

not a fan of harper but what else have we got?-why have we signed fae if he cant displace gunnar from the team? Think we should play bikey alongside harper for now-at least he bloody tackles!

A midfield of Fae and Gunnarsson doesn't bear thinking about.

it would get ripped through week in week out. Harper has worked so hard this season and he has off games but so does the whole team.

Harper is premiership standered and ok he might have one or two off games but every is allowed them. All of our players are premiership standered, if they are not why are they here?

As Mr Partridge just said, our current 'Premiership' midfield is worse than the one we had in the Championship.

And there's a huge gulf between the Premiership and the Championship.

It may be mentioned on another thread somewhere but I'd like to praise Harper for his sportsmanship. When Omozusi caught him with that pretty bad challenge right at the end, rather than hit the ground and writhe around in continental/Cheatski style, Harper got back onto his feet as quickly as possible and clearly could be seen imploring Clattenburg not to dish out a card.

Saw that as well. Made me feel slightly better that we hadnt sunk into cheat mode.

I've been thinking the same thing, we just don't have a ball-winner in Midfield. Gunnar used to be but he's just too slow these days.
