Gordons Cumming I recently spotted a few ex-Reading players featuring in the front page of their respective new teams websites.

Jamie Cureton
Darius Henderson
Nathan Tyson

Which players, including the ones above, have gone on, in your opinion, to better things since leaving the club?
Not that those 3 have.

Past and currently playing............

Neil Webb
Kerry Dixon
Simon Osborn - went to the then Premier League QPR
Shaka Hislop
.........

Huntley & Palmer Sidwell

I had forgotten he existed really until someone reminded me the other day by mentioning he played against our reserves, and lost.

79Royal Not too many I can think of, Shaka and Primus are the obvious ones.

The only other player I can think of that went on to better things was Lovell. Moved to a SPL side from a team who got relegated to League 1 equivalent. Does that count?

Isn't that moving down a level?

On the A127 just outside Basildon is a car breakers yard called BAS SALVAGE.

Have any ex-Royals *nearly* made a name for themselves elsewhere?

Help me out - who was the small BME defender we had back at EP in 1985 ish. I think he was called Parker or Parkinson. Tiny for a defender but loads of hustle RB or LB? It is bothering me that I can't remember

I understand Paul Brooker runs a carpet cleaning business.

Ive seen him doing a paper round in Slough to make up the money for the loss of first team appearance bonuses .
Luv him really and want him to come back home

Would be great if he came back. Wonder where Sidwell will go? It's clearly not working out at Chelsea.

I'd imagine Villa, Everton or Newcastle.

I'm not certain that Sidwell has done enough at Chelsea to warrant the likes of Vill or Everton coming in for him, he has been really disappointing this year when he has played for them he has looked well out of his depth !

Sidwell wouldn't come back to Reading.

He'd have to take a pay cut of 50%.

Dick Habbin had a stand named after him at Cambridge United folowing his time there so he must have done well (or he bought them a stand!)

Dave Crown was a something of nothing winger for us and then went on to be top scorer at the clubs he went to after us (admitedly in lower divisions.)

jetsetwilly Baradji and Obinna.

Ok well I've no idea if they have made a name for themselves but does anyone know what did happen to them ? Unsung heroes of the Championship winning side !

I heard Obinna went to Stevenage, could be wrong, no idea whether he is now though.
Baradji went back to West Ham, and I don't think I've heard his name mentioned since he went back.
