Good news, but, reading between the lines, I've my own theory about what happened. Adkins contacted Brian to discuss taking Howard on loan but did not follow up because the interest was leaked from this end. Hence there is no loan to Southampton available anyway.

Because back in March the club offered Howard the chance to go on loan but he refused. HTH

I know he's not the most consistant or effective, but he can be useful. i hope this means we have our sights set on an attacking midfield replacement.
