CayeneMatt Don't mean to nit-pick, but when we scored, Ian Harte ran over right in front of me and asked BM if we were up. BM smiled/nodded/waved at him just before he ran off (?!).

Plus the '1 goal and we're going up...' sort of gave it away a bit too.

I'd be amazed if all the players didn't know the full SP during those last 8 minutes. Unless Jobi was in a daze.

Don't blame the players at all for not being sure. They would have, very rightly, been focussed entirely on their game. To be honest, in our part of the East Stand we did not hear the '1 goal and we're going up'. We couldn't get a decent signal to check the internet and were desperately texting friends to try to get confirmation of the full-time Bristol City score. The large number of stewards making their way around the pitch started to give the game away and by the time the ref looked over to his linesman on the East Stand side and clearly sent a message along the lines of 'I'm about to blow for full-time get ready to run', we were pretty sure that it was true. However, can fully understand the players not being entirely sure and/or believing. IIRC exactly the same thing happened at Leicester last time around and it was only when the PA congratulated Reading FC that the fact that we had been promoted finally sank in.

I'm tempted to sign up just to see that 10 second video again. It was beautiful.

Sebastian They've just put one up of Karacan in tears in his wheelchair talking about promotion. Incredible scenes.

I thought I'd seen them all so thanks for that. Bless him. Brought out all my maternal instincts!!! :o

If you've got an iPhone, get the FL Clis app and buy a video subscription, it's £12 a year and you get everything reading player has, minus the live matchday commentary. Or you an ghey it at £1.49 a month. Much cheaper than RP, unless you want the full size screen I guess

Sebastian The only reason I subscribe to RP is for the commentary. If it was on the iphone app then that'd be my preferred method.

who commentates during games? - do they overlay it with the game?

They don't show live footage of the game, they used the bbrb commentary this season and have general match stats/fans comments bit

TBM
ZacNaloen The video belongs to Reading FC, you can watch it on their website

.........only if you have the reading player!?

Is it worth getting that? - can you watch the whole game, after the event obviously?!

It costs about £35 a year. Probably not a huge amount of point normally if you go to most games, but very handy for live commentary as an exile and the ability to watch games in full after the event. + highlights. Plenty of interviews too... a preview and postmatch interview with Brian for every game.

There's bound to be a load of reaction stuff on there so might be worth getting it for a month and then cancelling.
