Royal Lady LOLz - except I didn't say that - so until someone PROVES a post where I explicitly said this deal was never going through, you can all do one!

Please don't die of shock RL.

I agree with RL, she isn't guilty of saying the deal was dead in the water or definitely wouldn't go through.

Most the LOLs should be at Ideal our resident bigotted cretin.

Geekins
JordCot Obviously brilliant news

Out of interest did this ever get over 200 pages?? I couldn't remember it actually getting past it

8 pages to go! 2 successes in one day if we reach 200!

Er no, You edited JordCot's post - many pointless posts were moved / removed at one point - mind you, they were all pointless fortunately, including this one.

I'd be surprised if the Supporters Trust were signing players.

Great news! Happy days and an interesting summer lies ahead.

With regards to a certain person and their so called sources who claims I was rude to her the other day, well, I'll let others give you a very large LOL. I don't need to say just how full of sh*t you are. Oh, I just did.

Congratulations John Madejski & Anton. Here's to the future.

andrew1957 Come on Anton. You have owned the club for an hour or so and still no announcement about the signing of Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Where's the money gone?

+1

Massive lack of ambition being shown from the club but what do you expect when it's encouraged by the "RTG's". Anton out.

Although his wife can stay around.

I can't make public the exact amount, but as some of you saw on Twitter last night, BZ disclosed to the PL funds in excess of what we all assumed he had. He is most certainly a billionaire, and more than once over. That isn't to say he will use his money in an overzealous manner on us though. AZ still protests the club will be ran in a sensible manner, investing in infrastructure, youth, training facilities etc, but with a more competitive budget than we have previously seen.

Earlier on in this thread and on other far less reliable rumour sites there was talk of reading becoming the 7th richest club in the world once the takeover had been completed.... sounds like nonce sense, anyone know where we stand in rich club rankings now??

RoyalJames101
RoyalJames101 The deal was set to be announced on the Thursday/Friday of the week we played Forest at home. Nearly all the checks had been done and everything was set to be approved, the Football League told us that it would be around a week until everything was complete and gone through. However, as we were promoted on the Tuesday it meant the Premier League also had to carry out their own checks. The Football League still told us it would only take up to a week, hence why Madejski said it would be done "next week". The Football League screwed us over as the checks were always going to take longer than that as the Premier League are a lot stricter on the checks. But as it stands there aren't any problems on either Madejski or TSI's side of things, we're just waiting on the Premier League to ratify everything still. But as it stands, everything is still the same as it was to start with and no one has pulled out/been found out.

As said a few days ago. Now done and dusted and just down to the club to announce it.

8)

TBM Now all we need to know is what is our transfer budget?!

We don't have a 'budget' as such. McDermott will be able to sign who he wants (within reason) without the money being an issue.

Probably nowhere near the top. Just because Anton's dad has a few bob does not mean he has deposited billions into the club's accounts overnight. Remember somebody saying exactly that about Portsmouth when they were first taken over...

But I wasn't full of shit. I said there was a problem - I was told it was being able to prove where the money came from. I didn't EVER say the deal was dead and wouldn't go through - I was cautious from the very beginning, I'll grant you that. I don't know who you are, but you need to do better than that if you want to score a point against me, pal.

I had my doubts (quietly) about the whole thing, and in some ways still do for the future implications. Today's a happy day, and i'm very much looking forward to the Summer and next season, but in true party pooper fashion i'm going to remain only cautiously optimistic for Reading FC's long term future.

For the love of Christ will you shut up woman.

Happy days, the takeover's been completed as expected finally silencing the doubters and unfortunate section of our fans with small club no drive fear everything syndrome.

Should be an interesting few years ahead! :)
