we didn't play two up front last week.

it was 4-3-3. ALF started as a right sided 'inside forward' with blackman on the left and drenthe in the middle.

Adkins has said we were playing a 4-4-2 diamond. It was fairly fluid, maybe you'd could argue it was a 4-3-1-2 but it was definitely 2 up.

Big mistake from Adkins, we leak 5 goals in our first 3 matches and he still doesn't change our defence?!
If we had no other options then fair enough but we do have other options, and those players should have been in the starting XI from the start of the season.
Kelly and Mariappa must start matches or we will keep conceding silly goals. We're drawing games we should be winning. These points will haunt us the further into the season we go.
Also I think it's nasty of Adkins not to be playing Kelly, Kelly is an excellent fullback, and even happily played out of position for him last season and this is how he rewards him. I can see Kelly getting interest before the window closes if this continues.
On that note has an extra wk of transfer window entension been confirmed yet? Anyone hear anything on this?

Yep, I'd agree with this.

JordCot
St. Brynjar Blackpool: Gilks, Broadfoot, Robsinson, Basham, MacKenzie, Bishop, Ferguson (c), Angel, Grant, Delfouneso, Fuller

We should definitely be looking to beat that side.

I knew their squad wasn't what it used to be but its only when you see it spelt out like that that you see just how shite they are

Yeah so shite they beat us.

Are we going to get the old "Williams isn't match fit" rubbish or what? Why isn't he starting? And he SHOULD be match fit - they should all be match fit unless they're carrying a bloody injury. When Williams has come out he's looked great - start him and if he tires, which he shouldn't, bring him off after 70 mins - having given us a good chance of taking a lead and holding it. I'm sure Blackman is a nice bloke, but per-lease, he's NOT our best fit striker. If Pog wants away, for the love of God, someone come and get him. ALF should be starting every day of the week ahead of Blackman imo. And what's the deal with Mariappa? Is he out of favour or what? And WHY? He should be starting ahead of either Pearce or Morrison at the moment. If I was Dellor, these are the questions I'd be asking - as well as clarifying whether Kebe was fully fit to start a game.
