Burton Albion return next and give the Royals an opportunity to revenge the dreadful piece of **** that masqueraded as a home performance under Stam the last time the two clubs met in Reading.
Burton are 1 place and 1 point above Reading in the current table but in real terms they are 3 points and 4 places below! They have won just one league game (an away trip to Port Vale on their last travels) and drawn another three which suggests they'll be one of the divisions strugglers this time round (they struggled badly last season until the last 3/4 months when they climbed safely away from all the worry) but then Burton probably realise that struggling is what it is for them at this level and will be well used to the proverbial "digging in" and making things difficult.
Former Millwall forward Mason Bennett is possibly Burton's most well known player to Reading fans and looking at the stats it's difficult to identify stand out threats for the Brewers but rest assured taking them lightly will spell trouble.
Ejaria and Smith will still be unavailable but Camara might be edging slowly towards a place on the bench, whether anyone else picked up a knock in the Blackpool disappointment probably won't be known until the team news is revealed.

Nothing known
Historically
Just two previous league games at home, the aforementioned (1-2) embarrassment under Jaap so typical of his second season, and an earlier 3-0 win from the season before that when the Dutchman was yet to be "found out".
