BFTG - An away day to remember, I can't remember us scoring so many and the players seemed so into the win. The away end was pretty full and since it was miserable weather a lot of those lower down getting wet, stood in the ailses, so that probably added to the great atmosphere. It rained from when we arrived to 12 to around 4pm It was great they scored 4 at our end, Wareham and Mbengue in particular loving the celebrations.

Roll on Bristol.

Yeh looked and sounded great on tv. One of those games where you really wished you'd gone along

windermereROYAL A crumb of comfort for me is Orient vs Wycombe kick off at 12.30 the same as us, Wrexham vs Charlton is 17.30, Wycombe know that if they win they`re in second and will be hoping for a favour from the team that stuffed them 4-0 today.

I can see Orient v Wycombe being a draw as the latter go ultra defensive after their battering against Charlton. That will leave the door open for us at Rovers and I think we can win there as they’ll have so much pressure on them. The last game of the season is the one that worries me most as Barnsley with the handbrake off and no pressure can play a bit following the change in manager and wouldnt that be typical in front of a full house last game….still, who thought this is where we’d be with two games to go!

The scenario that worries me is if Wycombe and us win this weekend, we only need a draw against Barnsley. We don't handle it well and put in a nothing performance that allows Orient to pip us.

If Orient get the final spot ahead of us, then fair play to them - they would have deserve it.

As we would do if we get it.

Great end to the League One season at both the top and the bottom though, even with one team having run away with it!!!

Quite - Orient are having one of those unbelievable runs at the right time that seem to happen now and then and fair play to them if it ends with them getting 6th place - to win 4 games in a row at any time is a great achievement - to do so having been behind in each game is the sort of run that gives a team incredible confidence.

Overall though, our form is quite similar until you get to the very latest games

One thing to add re Bodin's goal - I think it showed how incredibly well liked he seems to be within the squad given a) Knibbs setting him up when he could have scored himself and b) the celebrations that followed - they all seemed really chuffed for him.

Great away day aside from the whole train network going down as a result of issues at Twyford which resulted in getting home later than planned. Prior to Wareham's opener, we weren't playing that well but goal settled us down and in the end we ran out convincing winners.

Yeah, noticed that.

He had that one disallowed the other day, I wonder whether that was part of it.

Knibbs was brilliant. Obviously with the unselfish assist, but gesturing at us to join them on the pitch given that Bodin had actually scored. Him, Mbengue and Wareham are so brilliant with the fans.

Someone on x has posted an interesting stat, in that, Bodin is the first person to come off the bench to score for us all season. That doesn’t seem right, but I have no idea tbf.

They must mean the league, because I can think of goals by subs in the cup (Campbell vs Harborough).

Yeah, I think they mean the league, but I am still surprised that Bodin is only player to score off the bench. We don’t have many super subs

I’ve only just found out we scored 5 !
Checked the score around what I thought was FT and was pleasantly surprised to see a 4-1win.
Had a look at this thread to see people discussing a 5th goal !

I know we aren't the best team (though hopefully at least 6th best!), don't always play attractive footer and can be rather inconsistent, but I love watching these guys play. Our predicament has created a strong bond between the players, and between the players and fans. I’m kinda sad at the thought of returning to ‘normal’ and being able to buy players again, because for the most part, being forced to make-do has given the players time to develop and play well together. I guess it will be nice to have some strength in depth and some more options, but you wonder if we’d have stuck 5 past Mansfield if Noel could rotate with more freedom.

Great result, shame leyton orient staged a comeback but it makes for a dramatic end to the season on the pitch and not just off it!

That was because we were chanting "If Bodin scores - we're on the pitch"
