tidus_mi2 I wonder if there's going to be any push for chasing as many goals as possible or if the team have accepted if we win both games and still lose out on G/D, thems the breaks.

I mean, maybe - but that would still involve outscoring Orient by 10 goals in 2 games or a 10 goal swing. I don't think those are too likely.

Pretty obviously, the priority is to win the game, whether that's 1-0 or 6-5; we have no control over the Wycombe Orient game and it would be a bit daft if by going gung ho to get loads of goals we get caught with a sucker punch breakaway goal and lose, only to find Orient had also lost........

Lets just go out to win both games and if Orient win both of theirs, then good luck to them in the play-offs.

If we get to HT and we're winning by a couple, and Orient are winning by a goal, probably worth having a crack to close the distance.

But you'd look absolute muppets if you went on to draw or lose because you chased goals, letting Rovers back in, then Orient went on to draw or lose the last game and you can't pass them on the final day.

My coupon for the weekend:

Rovers 0 Reading 5
Orient 0 Wycombe 5

In reality as Mr A says win the game - if we happen to get 2 or 3 ahead then by all means push hard for 4, 5 or 6 but just win.

If we win both and don't make it, that will be because Orient will have picked up 6 wins in a row and 25 of the last 30 points available.

But then again you have 07/08 in the prem where, if we scored three more goals in the last game, we would have stayed up and they didn't seem to go for it at the end of that game to score those goals.

Its more that Fulham didn’t score until the 76th minute. So from minute 15 when Harper put us ahead, to 76th minute, we were safe. And then had to score 4 goals in 14 minutes. We got one of them.

Still remember seeing Lita celebrate whilst we all stood their glum knowing it didn't matter by that point.

If the above scores actually happened then GD starts becoming irrelevant as Orient wouldn’t be getting the points to make it a thing.

Wouldn't it depend on what happens on the final day?

Post and out, Wing wins a lost ball, feeds big Kelv, Knibbs gets shot on target. Good pressure.

Hmmm, Wareham could have been onto that mis-hit.
Kelv breaks free, good play by Campbell, but in two minds and scuffs it.

Knibbs Dad is a wee bit of a legend in Bristol rugby circles.

Rovers really giving it some. Seriously need to skank the first goal

Thankfully they're leaving themselves open to the counter, which helps out style
