WestYorksRoyal If you like seeing a sold out SCL, you have to welcoming back the plastics.

Or have a sustained period of good times that brings back younger fans and those who became more disillusioned in the last 10 years.

West Ham fans* turning up because it might be interesting doesn’t really do it for me.

*see also Spurs/Liverpool etc

I assumed most fans yesterday would have been armchair fans coming because there was more on the line, or exiles putting in extra effort.

Hopefully we'll see at least 2k a week more next season with Dai gone.

Don't know, but there are a few influencing factors, the two biggest being away attendances and Saturday/midweek games. If we can average 15k home fans every Saturday that's a good start.

With Dai gone it`s a fair bet many of the fans that disappeared will return.

WestYorksRoyal Presumably this is like exchanging on your house? I.e., near impossible to pull out.

Presumably, only the final legal technicalities to go (which presumably is more to do with it being a bank holiday weekend everywhere and a lawyer needing to be in the office to file and sign off the documents) than further contractual negotiations or other stuff.

Commercial lawyers (and Americans) work stupid days and hours when they want to/are paid to do so. So I would imagine it's something else (e.g. if documents have to be registered with a government department somewhere, that won't be open on a Bank Holiday),

Eh, I reckon a lot of the people staying away were just grandstanding and just didn't want to watch us in League One.

Not all of us can make it to lots of games anymore. Doesn’t mean we’re plastic day trippers.

Given its a Bank Holiday it might be a Bank needing to do something (and Dai not being set up for online banking)

12:30 kick offs makes it impossible for anyone working shifts unless they take holidays.

So why did an extra 10k come to a L1 game where the prospect of us getting into the POs was minimal.

Genuinely was pleased to see the big suited lummox, Kingsley and his family back. There were quested of kids in the North stand waiting to get a picture. I even saw one kid take of his shoe for Kingsley to sign it.

Presumably they’ve been missing because no one wanted to pay anyone to suit up, so their return is a symbol of hope.

Because it was a one-off game that could have resulted in a big celebration and there was a bit push to sell tickets, largely fan led. The proof will be in the pudding next season when we're starting fresh.

No surprise we got hammered as soon as that filthy slag Queensley turns up. Everything started going wrong for this club when Kinsgsley met her.

Lots of thoughts this morning

Wondering what the new style of ownership will actually look and feel like. How often will the new owners be over. how will information be released regarding club news, budgets, signings, short and long term targets etc. After the DY years of radio silence we must all be hoping for far more communication and sharing with fans and I for one would welcome a ''chatty'' owner. Hopefully there will be a Couhig media release sooner rather than later; I guess when the final bits of paperwork are done?

As usual, I'm not really interested in comms. Show me actions, run the club well and bring some success and we don’t need to hear a peep from an owner.

An introduction and a sketched out sensible x year plan, that isn't just 'RetuRn tO PrEm', once the paperwork is done and then get to work is good enough for me.

Comms are important for many and Couhig has a decent track record of being pretty open at Wycombe but agreed, the proof will be in the pudding - how things are set up and how much freedom the football side is given.

I would imagine Jacobson comes in in a Bowen type role but hopefully, they've seen enough merit in the work Carey has done to attract decent talent to let him get on with building a side (with Hunt) based on the way they want to play and with close to zero restrictions on player investment.

For the first time in a long time, we are probably well placed to have the pick of Top L1/low end Champ free agents to supplement the squad.

First key announcement, which I imagine will be out in the next couple of weeks will be the retained list.

I wonder if Pete Couhig (nephew) will be taking an active role in it all, as he did at Wycombe?

When did they have the kid? Is Kingsley the Dad or is it some leonine James Hewitt type?

Does he have no pride?
